“That is what to the pain means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.” – The Princess Bride
Is the elite division of Space Force called Spatial Ops?
- Those who have an opposing ideology are considered evil.
- People actively avoid being near those of opposing ideology. Might move from communities or states just because of ideology.
- Common violence. Organized violence is occurring monthly.
- Common violence that is generally deemed by governmental authorities as justified based on ideology.
- Opposing sides develop governing/war structures. Just in case.
- Open War.

All memes except for the clock and graphs are “as found”. I’ve kept the Clock O’Doom at the same place – though it can notch up quickly.
This is a moving situation, and things are changing quickly. The advice remains. Avoid crowds. Get out of cities. Now. A year too soon is better than one day too late.

Front Matter
Welcome to the latest issue of the Civil War II Weather Report. These posts are different than the other posts at Wilder Wealthy and Wise and consist of smaller segments covering multiple topics around the single focus of Civil War 2.0, on the first or second Monday of every month. I’ve created a page (LINK) for links to all of the past issues. Also, subscribe because you’ll join nearly 850 other people and get every single Wilder post delivered to your inbox, M-W-F at or before 7:30AM Eastern, free of charge.
Immiseration
One of the driving forces of a civil war throughout history has been the level of misery that was forced on the populace. Author Peter Turchin calls this Immiseration, and I reviewed his book here, and that link is below. The other factor is an overproduction of elites, which we have in plenty right now – the isn’t enough elite status to go around, so disaffected elites don’t have anything else to do other than, say, run for President (talking about The Donald, here, but also Bloomberg and Soros and Musk).
But the immiseration is a Very Big Deal. When the CEO of UnitedHealthcare® got eliminated by a seeming random dude on the street in New York City – that’s another level of violence. It wasn’t (as far as we know today) based on anything else but the misery of the murderer. When people are willing to give up their lives to fight the system, that’s a huge marker that the system is producing so much misery that it’s in danger. The health care system in the United States is horribly broken, and my article about that is linked below.
And I think it is. The recent H-1B visa situation plays to this scenario enormously. My modestly popular article about it is linked below. The reaction to the situation is telling: a very large, very vocal group of Americans reject entirely the injection of a foreign and largely non-assimilating group of people with questionable motives, talents, qualifications, and morality to take over tech jobs from Americans. It’s that simple.
Why Do They Want To Replace You? Control, Oh, And To Increase This Quarter’s Profits
I like old Donald better.
The latest two events on January 1 have yet to fall into a category yet. The New Orleans massacre appears to be the Religion of Peace once again doing what it does best. I can see the Overton Window rapidly shifting from “we can’t have backlash against peaceful Muslims” to “why do we let these people live here?” in real time.
The Las Vegas event is just weird, inconsistent, and puzzling. I guess we’ll see what happens, or, just like the Vegas hotel shooter from years ago, it’ll be memoryholed and what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
I take, especially the CEO murder, as a very bad sign that misery levels are going up. Be advised.
Violence and Censorship Update
The fact that a far-GloboLeft DA in New York decided that Daniel Penny had to stand trial for acting in good faith to try to protect other subway riders from a danger says a lot, and is in fact the definition of number 8 on the Civil War 2.0 Scale. People in power want violence, so they do whatever is necessary to justify and sanctify the violence – including prosecuting good Samaritans like Mr. Penny, who was defined as “the white man” by the prosecuting attorney.
This is what happens when you encourage crime and discourage citizen involvement.
The prosecuting attorney? A paperwork American (not born here) who is in a lesbian relationship with another paperwork American who makes “art” for a living. Yeah. I feel the love from these people.
Outside of some mass banning of people who hurt Elon’s feelings on X® (that may have been reversed) most of the month has been fairly quiet. Elon even unbanned American Renaissance® founder Jared Taylor, allowing a very dissenting voice free.
Oh, and the whole, “killing CEO” thing.
Yeah, the CEOs can eat a bag of BFYTW.
PENULTIMATE VERSION: Biden/Harris Misery Index
Let’s take a look to see how we’ve done this month, and get a next to final look at what Biden has done.
Up. Again.
Updated Civil War II Index
The Civil War II graphs are an attempt to measure four factors that might make Civil War II more likely, in real time. They are broken up into Violence, Political Instability, Economic Outlook, and Illegal Alien Crossings. As each of these is difficult to measure, I’ve created for three of the four metrics some leading indicators that combine to become the index. On illegal aliens, I’m just using government figures.
Violence:
Violence in December is down slightly, (remember, New Orleans is in January).
Political Instability:
Down is more stable, and it is down slightly.
Economic:
The economy has started south, and we’ll see if this is the start of a trend.
Illegal Aliens:
Will Trump stop them from coming?
The Window
One of the tools of the GloboLeftElite is the use of controlled media to make sure that we don’t talk to each other; to make things people are commonly feeling simply not acceptable topics of discussion.
The world has changed, radically.
I regularly go on to /POL/ because, for the longest time, it was simply the easiest way to find out what was really going on in the world. Mainstream media is entirely co-opted and biased – finding a journalist that has TradRight beliefs is, well, rare. When there is one, they fire him – look at Tucker Carlson.
No electric cars on Greenland, right?
The Overton Window is the concept that there is an acceptable range of things that people can talk about, and anything outside that range is considered fringe. Remember people politely saying, “You know, maybe taking an experimental mRNA “Vaxx” when we have no idea what the side effects are isn’t a good idea,” were brutally silenced on every platform imaginable.
Now? Pretty much everyone knows it was a stupid idea and probably killed more people than it saved. Even mainstream science is pointing this out.
The blatant lie that “diversity is our strength” is now fully realized as a lie. If it was true, why would calling someone a “diversity hire” be considered an insult? People are realizing that our immigration is insane, and that They Have To Go Back is a real thing. If America is just an idea, they can feel free to have that idea in India. Or Guatemala. Or . . . wherever. America is more than an idea, and now people can talk through that hypocrisy.
Make Indians Indian again!
Misery will intensify this, and will allow plenty of ideas that you can’t say now to become commonplace..
Keep pushing The Window.

Some people still refer India and China as “developing” nations. I tend to think of them as “fully developed” nation. Every resource has been exploited. Every grift and graft has been institutionalized. Everyone knows enough about your family history to know what you’ll be allowed to do (if you’re upper caste) and what will be prohibited (if you’re lower caste). Opportunity abounds in “developing” nations, like the US, where we still have resources to develop.

Another great article John! Not to quibble about the finer points, but the notion that we are gearing up for Civil War 2.0 implies that their was a Civil War 1.0. Any self-respecting Southerner would scoff at such a notion as The War of Northern Aggression (or War Between the States in more polite company) was a battle between two different countries and technically not a “civil war” 🙂
More important question….where on that checklist will I be able to start spending all of these Confederate dollars I’ve been saving for all these years?
Agreed; the War between the States was not a civil war. However, in 1776 we had a civil war to determine which group got to run the government.
That is the definition of a civil war !
So, John Wilder is correct that this would be Civil War 2.0
Pure civil war is a rarity. Most wars are hybrids to some degree. The best source of definitions is likely those worked up and maintained by USAJFKSWCS at the former Ft Bragg. I don’t get hung up on insisting that everyone live by them though, since others might have valid definitions that differ.
The Ame rev war started as a defensive civil war in 1775 between patriots defending their Englishmen’s rights and Tory loyalists backed by the British armed forces trying to repress them. There was no intention on the Patriot side to overthrow or otherwise replace the British government and It was not even a war of independence until the second year of fighting was underway in 1776. The American Tory and Patriot fracture remained throughout the course of the war.
The Confederacy likewise was uninterested in replacing the United States Government. Thier efforts at redress ended in peacetime with a withdrawl from the Federal Government and the establishment of a new independent system outside the remaining United States. The war was also a civil war in the sense that there was much civil fighting between factions supporting one side or the other, particularly in the borderland states like Delaware, Maryland, Kentuckey, Missouri, and Kansas. The Union Armies had to militarily occupy these states in order to ensure some or all of them did not break away into the Confederacy. Unionists in western Virginia were also spun off by Lincoln into the new state of West Virginia.
Whatever comes to pass in our near future, It will certainly involve fighting between various factions of American citizens. Whether we call it CW2 or CW3 seems to matter little at this point.
Excellent work! Only thing I am completely sure of is this is going to end unbelievably ugly.
I am already preparing to be underwhelmed by Trump in his second term, what John Derbyshire calls TDS (Trump Disappointment Syndrome). More concerning is what They have up Their sleeves, if the first few days of 2025 are any indication we are in for a very bumpy ride.
Word. I believe the Texans have a term: “All hat and no cattle.” If the Golden Golem and his WOG minion import half of the Indian subcontinent to take American jobs, the 2026 midterms will be a slaughter of the Dead Elephant Party. And the Hunger Games will begin in earnest. Blieb ubrig. – DTW.
Overproduction of parasites/elites require an increase in hosts/servants. Too many citizens will not become servants; and break out to start their own business. This is intolerable to parasites; so the parasites excrete toxic regulations to kill off small business. So, do we remove elites or servants first?
USA Today has 2 writers who are conservatives – Nicole Russell and Ingrid Jacques. I wrote to Ingrid 2+ years ago that they were going to fire her after I read her first article. She replied that in fact, USAT had hired her specifically to write conservative views. She has continued along those lines since then.
No want smoke PEZ® Pipe with Indians. Remember Gen. Sheridan’s statement – “I saw a dead Indian today. And that was good.”
Trump is really missing the boat on H1B. But maybe he wants to.
Trump is a deal maker not a fighter. His nature is to give a third of everything.
Exactly. Trump is a product of his time, his generation. He is also a reflection of the culture at-large. Which remains to be defined by that generation. Financialization, materialism, and individualism. Giving away the future for the now. That is the type of negotiation that happens inside the moral framing of the death cult.
The art of the deal is not about the mechanics of negotiation as much as it is a treatise to the virtue of the transactional, selling and acquiring as the ideal state of human endeavors. Everything is for sale, so everything can be reduced to economic utilitarianism.
In an Economy morally hinged on the principal of personal gain, Trump offers what the people want. It’s not his fault that individualism does not scale. The people prefer it all be economic, paperwork, process. They beg for it. They do not want to see that it is a war, and war is total. Because that changes the footing of not just how we “fix” things but who we are. People or economic units.
And this changes the moral question that is never asked.
“Negotiating with your enemy in war is retarded. You place the sword on his neck and then he will sue for peace. Until then he will take what you allow him to take.” I think that was Field Marshal Alexander Suvorov.
John – – You said ….”there isn’t enough elite status to go around, so disaffected elites don’t have anything else to do other than, say, run for President (talking about The Donald, here, but also Bloomberg and Soros and Musk).”
Please note that to run for Prez or VPrez, the Constitution requires the candidate be a “natural born citizen”.
Musk and Soros are not natural born citizens since their parents were themselves not citizens when Musk or Soros were born. The term “natural born citizen” is different from a “native born citizen” because it requires the person to not have split loyalties due to parents being US citizens at the birth, instead of foreigners who owed allegiance to whomever issued their passport.
Here is a list of prominent politicians who are native born, but not “natural born citizens”: Vivek Ramaswammy, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, and KamelHo herself …..our illegit Veep !!
WoeBama, the magic Negro, was son of Frank Marshal Davis and Stanley Dunham Obama, who were both US citizens at his birth. She married the African student so as to not be unwed with child (in 1961, it was a severe social stigma to be knocked up and unwed and Frank was already married). He also could use his “siring a child” and marriage as a way to get Green Card immigration status and later citizenship.
As to KamelHo, she snuck in because Trump did not object, nor did any state GOP who could have litigated the issue. BTW, that “issue” has never actually been before any Court to fully and clearly set forth the true meaning in the Constitution of “natural born citizen”. Yes, there is no mechanism to automatically enforce the Constitution…. You have to go to federal court to get a judge to issue an order.
(And that, John and legion of followers, endeth the lesson on a very arcane provision of our rarely followed Constitution)
End the H1B visa scam!
Make foreigners foreign again!
Yes. The H1B visa program replaces Americans with Indians, making it harder for new STEM majors to find jobs, discouraging Americans from studying STEM, all so executives can then claim that not enough Americans are majoring in STEM fields so they need more H1B visas issued.
Is it still not OK to start shooting (((Commies)))? (((Communists))) are not people, they’re property of the State/Satan.
State and Satan both have the letters A, S and T in them. Coincidence? I don’t THINK so!
