Yes, this is a real headline. No, that is not the Bee®. Yes, we are in Clown World, where having insane flight controllers is more important than, oh, your life.

I still recall hearing the phrase “diversity is our strength”. Google’s® Trends™ only goes back to 2004, but it absolutely peaks in May of 2004. I think it must have been the Friends series finale, where Rachel is killed by a multicultural gang while Ross declares he is in love with Chandler.

(If any of that is wrong, I’m just making it up because I never saw an episode of Friends.)

Diversity is our strength is true when you’re talking about reinforced concrete, the steel protects it against tension, and the rock, sand, and cement keep it great for compression, which is why my car is made from reinforced concrete.

But “diversity is our strength” is just a mindless platitude. (Platitude comes from the Latin word “Plat” meaning “I can’t spell flat” and Greek word “itude” meaning, “I can’t spell iTunes®”.) Diversity is our strength could just as well be replaced with Pfizer saying, “People are our biggest asset” when, in fact, their biggest actual asset is the dozens of Congressmen they own.

Hey, it’s all the same, Jefferson, Washington, and Adams could all have been replaced with people for whom “seven” is a color.

“Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI) is the new Affirmative Action (AA) – it’s simply a set of buzzwords that mean, “too many straight white men have jobs that we deserve.”

That’s it. Period.

Which jobs? Sanitation workers? No. No one is saying that there aren’t enough black sanitation workers, or that women are discriminated against in a 99.99% male-dominated field.

No. That’s not a job they want.

I think we need more cats writing about chess, since roughly the same number of cats play chess as women play NFL™ or college football.

What about the NFL® or the NBA©?

No. There is no one saying that the NFL™ has a discrimination problem because it doesn’t feature enough elderly disabled Asian women, even if they identify as trans. Why? Because people take the NFL™ seriously. And the NBA©? Doesn’t hit have a white person inclusion problem, as in they are underrepresented? And what about the “differently tall” population, or the Irish representation in the NBA?

No one is saying that, because white men are already minorities in those jobs. But in the NFL™ if there aren’t enough black coaches, that’s a problem. If there aren’t enough black quarterbacks, that’s a problem. Why? Because blacks want those jobs.

Silly. But mentally unstable air traffic controllers? Those are totally fine.

Thankfully, the Catholic Church is getting with the program. Next: Luigeusus.

Just like there is (maybe) one white cornerback in the entire NFL™, what about a position where . . . now stick with me on this, straight white males are the most qualified?

Not in the NFL©, but in the world?

That’s the problem. I mean, that’s the problem if the job is one that a Hispanic person wants. Or one that someone who has a bizarre sexual fetish wants. A big problem.

How big a problem is it?

Engineering is just filled with systemic and systematic and diastolic racism. That’s why so few minorities people of color (POC) are in STEM. What, Asians do fine and are overrepresented? Crap. I meant BIPOC – black and indigenous people of color. Damn Asians are always screwing up the con game, er, I mean, “push for equality”.

In the rush to get more BIPOC involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), I’ve heard that several larger universities that should know better have decided that they’d start recruiting STEM students from BIPOC candidates that don’t understand math. The odd thing is, if it’s a real science (biology, you’re looking pretty dodgy) it involves math where an understanding of calculus is the minimum standard.

And when it comes to diversity, why not diversity in safety? I mean, it’s been so boring for so long here in Modern Mayberry, wouldn’t the diversity added by atrocity make it all better?

Minimum. Mathematics are the tool, at every level, of people in STEM, unless you want bridges to fall down or airplanes to fall from the sky, or your Internet search history to be transmitted to your boss by “accident”.

Ahhh, yeah, that bridge in Miami that collapsed a few years ago? It was a triumph of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion since the women who designed it were of all colors of the rainbow. And Boeing’s problem with its software that crashed several of their planes?

Last I heard it was the result of offshoring the programming to inexpensive Indian programmers, which is cool, because it’s diverse, right? Good job Boeing®! I’m sure that you’re finding when one door closes, another opens. Often, in flight. But to have a plane that arrives at the destinations with all the doors closed wouldn’t be diverse, would it?

Thankfully, we now know that avoiding diversity is fascism.

And thankfully the FAA changed the Air Traffic Controller Test so that it was nearly impossible to pass as a white dude. Why? Because diversity. And now even mental stability is out the window. Guess I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue if I wanted to work as an air traffic controller.

In one sense, the real problem is that the straight white men built and invented most of the technology that created this world that feeds billions of people and keeps several billion living in luxury beyond the dreams of any Caesar. It’s just so darn complex! I mean, it requires people to understand math and stuff to keep it going! It’s another problem that straight white men created.

But I’m sure that having people who don’t have the capability to do math becoming engineers and pilots won’t cause any problems, especially if that means that straight white men don’t get the job.

What a great goal. I mean, what could go wrong?

I mean, diversity is our strength, right?

At this rate, only the Democrats will be eligible to be air traffic controllers.

  2. It’s going to be really hard for people who have already mastered math to teach it to people of color, when even those students who would be really good at it are criticized by their peers for “acting white” by trying.

    I have a hypothesis (not even a theory) that people learned to do math when they migrated to the higher latitudes of Europe, where the ability to calculate how much land you had to work to grow the grain you would need, to keep your family from starving during the winter, was crucial. That, and how much wood you had to cut and stack, so it would be dry enough to burn during the following winter. Winters are harsh up north, and especially so if the pigmentation of your skin impairs the synthesis of Vitamin D.

    1. Deferred gratification and high-trust society was created by Winter, where you had to spend half the year working to not freeze and starve the other half.

    2. Planning is required in the temperate zone – sadly, life in Africa is very random – there aren’t mountains, so the rivers are either floods or dry, few natural ports, etc.

    30 years back I lived in a college-town house while my brother took his masters in archaeology. House had seven or eight little bedrooms, we all got one, well I got a cove in the attic, suited me. House was about half female and half male. Laid-back and not an overtly political group.

    When I moved in they asked me to join them one night in the living room to watch a Friends episode — their ‘house bonding ritual’ I guess. I gave Friends a fair shake until the first commercial then I bailed and never returned. It’s called ‘programming’ for a reason. Prog-ramming, and we are the ram-ee. Anyways, they damn sure didn’t ask me again. :O)

  5. This didn’t start with the “DEI” movement. It has been going on for a much longer time, at least back to the “Civil Rights” movement. It all comes down to “White people are better at some things and that makes us sad/mad/violently angry, so the solution is fewer White people in nice jobs”. The driving motivations have always been resentment, envy and greed.

    1. Word. It started on my college campus (SFVSC) in SoCal in the 60’s. TPTB decided to lodge a bunch of “Negro Youths” from south central LA to enroll in a special college freshman program. I was living in the dorm at the time. What these “Utes” brought was an increase in car clouts, thefts, assaults on students and eventually an organized riot supported by the Black Student Union and the SDS. LAPD Metro swooped in one day and gave everyone pause with their riot squad knocking a few heads together. Spring semester was a lot more orderly.
      Black culture is not my culture. It never has been. Black culture in today’s Amerika is RuPaul, Jussie Smollett, jungle music, borderline illiteracy, and out-of-control violence against non-blacks and their own kind everywhere they have a large presence. They have imbibed their hatred of me and at their mothers’ breasts. My grandparents, uncles, aunts, and parents experienced it with “Bump Day” during the 30’s and 40’s while riding the LA streetcars. Let the clueless blue-state fools patronize the NFL, NBA, and the garbage coming out of (((Hollywood))). When these stupid savages finally realize the Brown Invasion from our southern border will marginalize them into abject poverty, they will turn on their masters, the Marxist-Infanticide Party. Ave., they were met by a large crowd of GDIs, ag frat (Farmhouse & Acacia) members & other students bearing baseball bats & other weapons of Negro Destruction.

  7. The biggest problem I’ve found with the push for diversity is the avoidance of terminating the employment of undesirable employees. Are they incompetent? Okay, give them a crap job that isn’t critical or promote them to a higher position and let the idiots that promote this nonsense deal with the problem. Unfortunately, the idiots that promote this nonsense are the idiots another idiot failed to fire. In the blue collar section, it’s idiots running multi-million dollar projects, or equipment, and couldn’t shovel crap from a horse stall. In politics, it’s bureaucrats that will jump into a volcano because an idiot decided that was the best regulation for their own personal interest.

    How will this end? The idiots will be culled by attrition or outright termination by dangerous vaccinations. The survivors of this nonsense will be angry, determined and vicious.

The bridge fiasco in Miami probably can’t be chalked up as a triumph of DIE, unless Denney Pate, the formerly world-renowned (and former licensed lead engineer) for the project considers xirself a BIPOC wymyn. That was more a case of hubris (“I’ve designed massive traffic bridges. What could go wrong with a piddly pedestrian bridge?”) than DIE.

    There was finger pointing at the woman who was the contractor’s lead, but that was more “Squirrel”. Hat tip to the exhaustive Eng-tips dot com forum threads on that. (I was dealing with eye surgery when it started, and was seriously bored.)

  9. If anyone on the right has not yet DDG’d The Old Negro Space Program, I suggest you do so, pronto, before viewing it becomes as verboten as owning a copy of Camp of the Saints. Not just hilarious (which it is) but prescient (which it also is). Crowding White men out of technological development, and especially technology maintenance is a mistake of Biblical proportions. Look to South Africa for an ominous harbinger of things to come. A mere pedestrian bridge collapse with a few casualties will look like an amusing little oopsie when planes start dropping from the skies and the electrical grid goes down.

  10. We have reservations on Delta in early March. That’ll be the last time I’ll fly. DEI will kill the airline industry.
    Coupled with the 2026 mandatory driver control system in cars, that’ll kill the auto industry.
    Both are intentional.

    1. I stepped off of a Delta flight at ATL in Sep. ’19, as I was walking out of the TSA contolled area made the decision “never again”. I did ten years -’71 to ’81, as a professional pilot accumulating 6,000 hours, mostly spraying crops. Stopped enjoying commercial passenger flight at the creation of TSA (has nothing to do with our safety). As well, I am well acquanted with top maintenance managers at two major airlines and have heard hair raising stories of massive incompetence. Yup, I quit at the right time …. you too ….. congratulations.

    The FAA obviously hasn’t looked at NASA, where they’re >50%; the Pentagon, where they’re 75%; the Congress, where they’re 97%; or the White House, where they comprise 100% of the work force there, from the top down.
    And that’s only if we look at the ones in those places actually working.

  12. The irrational leftists HATE white western society. It’s an irrational hatred based solely on fantasy and feelings but that hatred exists none the less. And because of that hatred these leftists, now that they have successfully stolen elections and seized power intend to use that power to DESTROY white western society. And DEI is just one of the many tools being used to accomplish that goal. What’s ironic, one of many concepts the left is incapable of grasping, is that when they succeed it will be THEY who suffer the worst… At least any of them that survive the coming festivities.

  13. Born in 1923, my Father was an Eagle Scout, a big deal in those days. By the time that I was in the Boy Scouts, Dad would frequently remark that all the merit badge requirements had become so easy that all one need do was show up and go through the motions. This has been going on for a long time.

  14. I had the siding replaced on my house last year.
    When obtaining bids, I told the contractors that everyone working on my house were required to be American Citizens.
    That resulted in no bids and I had to back off on that requirement as I’m just too old to do that work anymore.
    Depressing what Our Country has become.

  15. Imagine if you will, you’re on a flight cruising at 30K feet and diversity hire Capt. Shanequa sees her man with his side piece at a club on a Facebook post. If that doesn’t scare you, what about when she fails to hear ATC tell her to maneuver 20 degrees starboard to avoid traffic because she be bumpin’ fiah on her headphones while doin’ her nails?

    I doubt we’ll see any DEI’ers operating AF-1, AF-2 & Marine-1
