I wonder if the USAID/Pizza Hut graft runs much deeper to include other restaurants like McDonalds and Wendy’s? These restaurants are doing major renovations every 5 to 10 years that cost a LOT of money and yet the changes are destroying their brand recognition.
It wouldn’t surprise me if USAID offered them large grants with strings attached (e.g. DEI requirements for the staff). This would allow USAID to quietly insert policy changes into every neighborhood in the country.
