Maybe The Kids Are Alright?

“We’re a generation of men raised by women. I’m wondering if another woman is really the answer we need.” – Fight Club

The French love my generation.  They say it has a certain Gen X sais quoi.

I can see what’s going on, I really can.  To be fair, there are dozens of things, each day that I see that are signs of The Change.  In many ways, The Change has been coming for decades, and has hit us harder than old age has hit Madonna.

Many of the changes we’ve seen are negative.  I generally write about them on Mondays and Wednesdays.  But Fridays?  No.  Because despite of all of the negatives that I see, I am as certain as the outcome of a vote if a Leftist is counting it that we will win.

What does winning mean?  Well, it doesn’t mean that things will go back to “the way they were” – whatever that was.  We won’t see that because those times are gone.  The new good times will be different in many ways.  Some I can guess because they’re inevitable, and some I can’t even fathom.

No, winning means a place for freedom and families and the things we associate with virtue.  It doesn’t mean endless wealth, and it doesn’t mean endless amusement.

Why is Michael Jackson bad at bowling?  He’s dead.

The big reason that this cannot last is because the current trend is the most unnatural and unstable in the history of humanity, with a few potential exceptions here and there that only lasted for a few decades.

This instability is in our favor.  We can already see that the current boys in high school are fed up with Leftism and everything Woke.  They’re done with it.  They see that Leftism is poison.  They’re rejecting it.

One reason is simple – it’s in the nature of youth to rebel.  And, the Leftists having won so many battles are now The Man.  They’re the ones the boys are rebelling against, and it’s glorious.  The Leftists thought that when they took over and had the ability to control what went in the minds, that was the end of the story.

Yet, the Leftists still think they’re rebels working against the system when they manifestly are the system.  The boys in school can see that, and they react accordingly, completely making those Leftists spitting out the propaganda go crazy.  The Leftists are like like that guy who is in his forties and still is wearing his letter jacket because he wants the kids to think he’s cool.  Now, based on every picture I’ve seen of every Leftist, the word “cool” isn’t remotely the first word I’d use to describe them.  It’s not in the top 100.  In reality, they fall somewhere lower than “turd stooge”.

The Three Stooges can do anything.  They have Moementum.

This turns off the boys.  Now, the girls are another subject altogether because the feminist imperative to teach the gospel of avoiding consequences of actions at all costs seems to resonate with them.  In the turmoil to come, it’s the views of the boys that will matter the most.

The youth has also seen the fruits of Peak Leftism and are disgusted by it.  Just like Gen X was shaped by the time they grew up in, being latchkey kids that learned from an early age to be independent, Gen Z is learning lessons about not trusting the government.

Their pivotal moment (so far) was the insane combination of COVID plus the Fentanyl Floyd riots.  They see that their concept of “equal justice for all” has been tainted by racial politics to twist a system where punishment is based not on the crimes committed, but rather by the victim status of the alleged criminal.

Over three years, drug free!

How will that manifest?  I think it will manifest in a deep distrust of the justice system, and I think that it will lead to, ahem, extrajudicial endings to criminal cases.

They’re also viewing the world and seeing it fall apart with cops that are prevented from arresting mobs looting stores week after week.  As I believe white Gen Xers were propagandized to be the least racist generation in the history of humanity, I believe that white Gen Z kids will view race the same way black Gen Z kids will, with huge distrust.

The next thing in the mix is what hasn’t happened yet – the economic changes that are due.  Just as there is a distrust being built up in the justice and governmental systems, there will be a distrust of money being created out of nothing.  The system is going to, very soon, fail them in a spectacular way.

The economic changes will change them.  We’ll still be able to send billions to the Ukraine, but it won’t matter because a billion won’t buy a Happy Meal®.

In the Ukraine it’s called corruption.  In the United States we don’t talk about it.

Gen X was cynical.  Gen Z will likely be a force of nature.  If they aren’t the hard men, Gen Alpha will be.  We’re that close, folks.

The pendulum is swinging back, and will swing back with a vengeance.  We really have reached Peak Woke or Peak Clown World (honk honk!) and it’s here.  I’ll see the start of The Change, but likely won’t live to see the next Golden Age.

That’s okay.  I know it will be back, and I know this – there will be free men living on this world as long as there are men living on this world.  There are ups and downs, but nothing is finished, this isn’t over.

We will win because we are strong.  And we will win because for thousands of years we’ve been winning, and that won’t stop anytime soon, no matter how dark it looks outside right now.

Enjoy your day.  It’s dark out, but the ending to this story will be glorious.

  1. John are you meaning I should stop wearing my letter jacket out an about? But its so cool to let people see my JV letter in track…..

  2. From The Automatic Earth blog…The Five Stages Of America. With a tip o the hat, of course, to Elisabeth Kübler-Ross…

“America is a corpse being devoured by maggots. The Democrats root for the maggots, the Republicans root for the corpse.”

Our beloved American Empire was both our doting parent and our bright eyed child but it died. It fed us, clothed us, entertained us, kept us safe and was our hope for the future, but it’s gone. We are now moving through the stages of grief associated with great loss.

Denial: It’s not true. We are still the greatest country that has ever been. We still have the strongest military and the smartest scientists, the greatest cities and most beautiful landscapes. We are the beacon of hope and everyone wants to come here. We are the shining city on the hill. We are the paragon of democracy. We are the indispensable nation.

Anger: It’s those damn Democrats. Their policies have ruined everything. In fact it’s the Republicans too. It’s the Uniparty. It’s the elites and the billionaires. It’s the Bidens and the Clintons and the Gates and the Zuckerbergs. It’s the Fed and the FBI and the MIC and the CDC. It’s the shoplifters and the homeless and the immigrants streaming over the border. It’s the Chinese and the Russians and the Ukrainians and the Canadians. A pox on all their houses.

Bargaining: We can fix this. We just need to drain the swamp, close the border and back our currency with gold. We need to fund the police and repair our infrastructure. We need to bring back manufacturing and support school choice. We can Make America Great Again. Trump 2024.

Depression: None of it is working. Gas is $5 a gallon and going up. Rents are skyrocketing. Groceries cost an arm and a leg. I’m afraid I’ll lose my job. I can’t get healthcare. I can never retire. My family is breaking up. My kids are all liberals and believe in BLM and socialism and drag queen story hour. The country is deeply divided and feels like it is on the brink of civil war. Maybe I should move to Thailand.

Acceptance: We are going to survive even if things will never be like they used to be. We can no longer consume more than we produce. We have hard work and hard times ahead of us. We can join with our family and neighbors in creating a better society with less materialism and more personal interaction. Time to join a church, get some chickens, plant a garden and learn to repair small engines.

    1. “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s”.

I can only do what I can do. I’ll continue to live my life by the morals and ideals taught to me in my youth. I WILL NEVER CONCEDE. As a result, ‘they’ will never win.

  3. Their strategy is a bold one: force a collapse and assume They come out on top. Me, I am not so sure it plays out that way. So far only one side has been in the fight, we will see what happens when the other side, /ourside/ starts to play.

    1. I figured it was a small portion of the young folks they were counting. Most of America likely has similar opinions. General elections are largely decided by they informed, hence the weird results we freq’ly get.

Old adage from an older mentor of mine (long ago): Republicans can’t win with conservatives, and they can’t win without them.

I’ve already written my R rep calling him a coward for not voting to oust McCarthy.

  4. John, if we continue on as we are, the young generation will get a front row seat on how bad things can get and, like the generation that lived through The Great Depression, will be impacted by it for the rest of their lives.

Also, one thing that this assumes is that our overall civilization continues on as it has. When things get difficult and technology and energy fails, the ability to adapt, persevere, and use inner and outer strength matters, not the ability to demand compliance or assess flaws in systems that no longer exist. That does not necessarily favor one sex above the other; it does favor a certain kind of personality and world view.

  5. Funny old church yesterday I sent a message to a prominent men’s defender and critic of the regime, telling him essentially the same. We are winning, keep bringing the heat.

I saw this in this morning’s newspaper:

‘Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.’

    (Ps. 45:5)

    ___________

‘I’ll see the start of The Change, but likely won’t live to see the next Golden Age’

Course you will. You’ll just look a little better then.

  6. Nothing has been learned by the general population. The serf-liberals, meaning the middle class who thinks majority vote is reasonable and the lower-class welfare parasites, are going to keep voting and keep trying to impose their will by government policy. The elite-liberals, meaning the politicians and bureaucrats who make policy, will keep playing Lucy and the football with the serf-liberals.
What has changed and continues to change is technology, which is a force multiplier. Due to diminishing returns, the force increase advantages the individual more than the group. On net, who did the printing press advantage? Or the Internet where you can spread your viewpoint? Or the CNC mill you can house in your garage? After the dollar is hyperinflated, the replacement currency and payment system will be protected by cryptography so it costs more to tax it than the tax yields. That lack of tax collection ability will be the end of big government. Meanwhile, the reeeee-ing from both kinds of liberals will never end, because monkey troop communism is the instinctively programmed form of human social organization.

    1. And alternative currency will be born. Why trade in FedEBux when you can get something they can’t see?
