Civil War 2.0 Weather Report: National Divorce? Getting Closer.

“Dolores, I am making a citizen’s divorce.” – The Man with Two Brains

Big Alarm Clock is a conspiracy!  Wake up people! (all non-regular memes are as-found)

  1. Common violence. Organized violence is occurring monthly.
  2. Opposing sides develop governing/war structures. Just in case.
  3. Common violence that is generally deemed by governmental authorities as justified based on ideology.
  4. Open War.

I’ve kept the Clock O’Doom the same.  Again.  This is moving sideways, but things can unravel quickly.  The advice remains.  Avoid crowds.  Get out of cities.  Now.  A year too soon is better than one day too late.

In this issue:  Front Matter – The National Divorce – Violence and Censorship Update – Biden’s Misery Index – Updated Civil War 2.0 Index – The Silly Season – Links

Front Matter

Welcome to the latest issue of the Civil War II Weather Report.  These posts are different than the other posts at Wilder Wealthy and Wise and consist of smaller segments covering multiple topics around the single focus of Civil War 2.0, on the first or second Monday of every month.  I’ve created a page (LINK) for links to all of the past issues.  Also, subscribe because you’ll join over 740 other people and get every single Wilder post delivered to your inbox, M-W-F at 7:30AM Eastern, free of charge.

The National Divorce

I remember reading about research a while back that (my fuzzy memory says) indicated that when a married couple didn’t want to have a divorce, one of the easiest things they could do was not talk about a divorce.  I guess that would mean that the first rule of staying married club is don’t talk about divorce club.

Marjorie Taylor Greene brought up the issue in a big way:

It’s a stark question:  do we want to stay married, or not.  Folks on the Internet followed suit, with this poll:

The Internet is what it is, and a poll like that isn’t at all scientific.  But 19,000 people (75% of respondents) were done.  They were ready to get lawyers, and decide how we get to split up California and Virginia and who got alternating weekends with Michigan.

A much more scientific poll was done by Rasmussen® (more on them later in this Issue) and it emerged that a majority of Republicans wanted out.  47%, plus an 11% who might be in favor, but they wanted to know if they could still get Netflix™ off of Uncle Tim’s account it he were stuck in a Blue State before they made up their mind.

Leftists are never in favor of making anything smaller, since it lowers their power.  Remember, it is Leftists who are on the side of international and world governments.  I’m pretty sure they’d love to include Mars, too, since it’s Red.  This is shown in the poll below:

Fully a third of all people (based on Rasmussen’s™ report) are ready to check out.  That’s a lot.  Although Gallup® wasn’t around to do a poll, most literature I can find seems to indicate that only 1/3 of the folks living in the Colonies wanted the Revolution, so 1/3 is a big, big number.

I’ll add in this other (entirely unscientific) poll:

Again, unscientific, but it shows that there are a sizeable number of folks out there who believe that soldiers would, if ordered, shoot on American civilians.  That’s another scary thought, and perhaps feeds back into the idea that people would much rather have a peaceful exit rather than a violent one.

I read that this year’s CPAC (Republican fanboy convention) was poorly attended, and lacking in energy.  And why not?  The most fervent people in the Republican party are done, and don’t trust the vote, and don’t think that their votes may ever matter again.

Spiderman®, though, seems to have an opinion:

Violence and Censorship Update

Cancelling really isn’t government censorship, but it’s censorship nevertheless.  Scott Adams, noted cartoonist and author, really rustled the collective jimmies of the Left.  Rasmussen™ had a poll about whether it was “okay to be white” and 47% of black people indicated that it was either not okay, or they weren’t sure.

Scott has a YouTube® channel (still!) where he talks about whatever he wants to talk about.  In this, he opined that if that was the way that black people felt, he wasn’t sure he wanted to be around them.  The following cartoon describes it in such a way that Scott retweeted it:

The outrage was both predictable, even though Scott noted that many black people he knew called him up and said that his stance was completely reasonable.  Mr. Adams’ publisher dropped him.  Mr. Adams’ cartoon syndicator dropped him.  Mr. Adams’ agent . . . dropped him.  His new book, due out in the fall?  Cancelled.

I don’t feel bad for Scott, he knew what he was doing, and he has tens of millions of dollars.  But what is it about that simple narrative that makes the Left explode?  I’ll cover that in a future post.

The Silence of the Adams

It’s not violence now, but Illinois has now decided that most crimes short of murdering someone and taking selfies with the victim are now non-detainable.  Burn someone’s house?  Out without bail.  Kill someone while high?  Out without bail.

Florida.  Sigh.  Why?  They want to make bloggers who write about elected officials register if they make money for their efforts.  Is this the single stupidest thing to come out of Florida since they elected ¡Jeb!?

The publisher of Roald Dahl is going through his books an removing whatever they don’t like based on political correctness.  No more “ugly” or “fat” or . . . black.  Paging Scott Adams . . . These “corrections” are showing up in people’s previously purchased e-books, too.  This is why physical media is good.  And why I have lots of books.

It’s not censorship, exactly, when programmers prevent A.I. from coming to conclusions based on fact, but it’s close.  There are certain facts that are inconvenient, like boys have xy chromosomes and girls have xx chromosomes, so programmers prevent A.I. from talking about that.  Elon Musk says he’s going to do his own, non-woke A.I.

When the trains carrying ethyl-methyl-death crashed in East Palestine, it was a story that was minimized until it couldn’t be.  I follow stories like this that are under the news, and was aware of it within a few hours of it happening.  But the news?  No reporting on it, since it didn’t impact Baltimore and had the potential to make the Biden administration look even worse than it normally looks.

Biden’s Misery Index

Let’s take a look to see how we’ve done this month . . . .

Yup, up again, and, like Kamala’s womb, this graph doesn’t eggs.  Here’s a recap:

Updated Civil War II Index

The Civil War II graphs are an attempt to measure four factors that might make Civil War II more likely, in real time.  They are broken up into Violence, Political Instability, Economic Outlook, and Illegal Alien Crossings.  As each of these is difficult to measure, I’ve created for three of the four metrics some leading indicators that combine to become the index.  On illegal aliens, I’m just using government figures.

Violence:

Violence is still minimal right now.  I’m betting it stays down until June at the earliest.

Political Instability:

Up is more unstable, and it was down a bit more.  I think this is a conscious attempt to keep things together, Biden just came out in favor of “law and order”, because I think he saw it the show on cable.

Economic:

Economic numbers took a big dive this month, which surprised me.  The numbers look fairly unstable from month to month, which still isn’t good.

Illegal Aliens:

The number took a big drop!  Yay!  Oh, it’s still higher than ever for that month.  I’d say border is wide open, but we have no border.

So, when can we ask the Mexicans to leave?

The Silly Season

One way to deflect a story is to not tell it.  The other way to deflect a story is to flood the media with, well, nonsense.  My favorite this month?  The Chinese Spy Balloon™.  During World War II, the Japanese decided they would make Americans afraid.  They launched 9,000 balloons filled with explosives at the United States.  As near as I could find with an in-depth three-minute look, one exploded.  Out of 9,000.

Ohhh, I’m so afraid.

I’m not sure what we’ve found out about the Chinese Spy Balloon©.  I think that we’ll find out they were trying to check up on why Americans weren’t buying more extended warrantees based on those cell-phone calls.  Since we haven’t heard anything, I’m think that it may actually have been a weather balloon.  Regardless, they can solve their problem with just a little bit of camouflage that the United States would never shoot down:

Was this the story that they were attempting to distract us from?

It’s a scary one.  Why do we need so may people?  Why aren’t all the traditional people who would go into the military signing up?  Oh, yeah.  They’ve been told they’re racist.  They’ve been told they have unearned privilege?  They’ve seen the military force people to take the vaxx.  And now they want them to sign up to fight?

What could be next?

50 thoughts on “Civil War 2.0 Weather Report: National Divorce? Getting Closer.”

  1. I joined Scott Adams’ blog some time back, $70/yr. Find his posts interesting and get Dilbert (strip to be renamed “Dilbert Reborn”) each day. Scott has assured that the new Dilbert will be “edgy”.

    1. Contrary to popular opinion there has never been a “civil war” on this continent. The dictionary definition of “civil war” is two or more factions of the SAME country fighting the established government to become the only ones in control. That is NOT what happened in 1861. A peaceful Southern nation formed by states who peacefully and legally separated themselves from a destructive and overbearing nation to their north was invaded and brutalized. Read some real American History and you will see this truth. General Robert E. Lee stated that when the north won the war that it would become aggressive and and despotic at home. How right he was!

  2. I don’t think the Left would be as ‘Yes Divorce’ if they considered that the homeless and illegal alien would likely choose Blue states due to lack of interest of Red States. The Red States on the other hand would be very happy indeed.

    1. a ‘divorce’ based on red states/blue states will still not really address the issue- it’d have to be down to a county level to realy separate red from blue – even most of the total land area of california, is ‘red’, it’s only a handful of counties around the big cities (sf bay/silicon valley, sacramento, la, sd) that are democrat, even in california. pennsylvania and new york, same deal. philthadelphia drags the rest of the state into ‘blue’ even though pretty much every other county (excepting allegheny county with pittsburgh on the other side), again, solidly ‘red’.. rural new york state is again dragged around by the big apple.
now add that the left never wants anything small, they want more and more and bigger – hell, they want a single world government – and you will never see this ‘divorce’. instead it’ll be civil war and collapse.

    2. Nope, they want everyone. Everyone. There is still a reason that they have to fence folks in.

  3. I’m a member of the Constitution Party living in southern New England – Daniel in the lions’ den. A national divorce would be a giant anal-pain for some of us.

  4. The tolerant long marching enlightened being comrades aren’t going to leave you alone in the quest to build the new man utopia.
You’ll have to fight to regain the freedoms that a soft weak society flushed down the toilet in the name of peace and safety.
Be ready for fierce reckless battle at any time because the comrades hate you to the point of intoxication.

    1. Your best comment, ever. Perfect.

Yup, they will never, ever let us go. They will never, ever let us alone. If we keep those facts in mind, the solutions write themselves.

  5. I’m thinking Divorce is neither needed nor necessary.
The real problem with the Blue states is primarily a few LARGE (1/2 million or greater population) urban centers that are completely dysfunctional, and the suburbs that are distant enough to be insulated from the troubles, and yet rich enough to support Aggressively Progressive Womyn. Some married to semi-men, others single/divorced with no reasonable prospects of finding a husband in the near future.
I just looked, and the nearest city to me that comes close is Cleveland, at almost 380K people (assuming that you believe their figures – I’d estimate 250K, at most). I’m living in a “city”, but it’s under 80K people. So, we need to differentiate between those cities that you’d have to be an ID10T NOT to leave (or a Dem/RINO, which is about the same), and those smaller cities that – mostly – work.
Crime in my home city is largely confined to a really small area – most of the rest is just ‘nuisance’ crime – petty thefts and vandalism, bike thefts, the like. Sometimes, someone gets a little rowdy after a snootful. But, manageable.
It helps that the West side of the Black River, where I live, is largely populated by people who do, or did, work for a living. The river does serve as a barrier to unrest bleeding over, as it’s limited by the bridge access. COULD they travel by boat/raft? Probably. But they’d also be easy to pick off by some good ole’ boys with guns, of which OH has a plethora. So, don’t see it happening.
Country/small town living isn’t for everyone. Age can take that option out of the picture. I would warn about picking up stakes and moving to a part of the country where you have no family/friends already. The locals WILL be suspicious of strangers moving in.

    1. So, the idea is a “chicken pox nation”? Bits of infection in the body as a whole? Seems like a potential way to make sure that all the states eventually turn blue?

      1. So you noticed that too, eh? Almost like that’s been the plan all along…..

    2. A better solution would be rigorous voting laws and enforcement, and removing the franchise from single women…Of course, that will not happen in our degraded society…

  6. The fairytale fantasy of any sort of “national divorce” is strictly for soft-headed morons, and clickbait for Bubbas.
There isn’t going to be a divorce, because by and large, you don’t have red and blue states, you have 50 varying shades of purple.
That isn’t going to be solved by any imaginary “divorce”.
It’s going to be a domestic disturbance with fire axes and machetes, and in every instance, two people will enter, but only one will come out, in the Mother Of All March Madness elimination tournaments.
Street to street, building to building, house to house, floor to floor, and room to room. Including intramural family contests within households.
That’s not a divorce. Except maybe in the Manson Family.
It’s Rwanda times Beirut, under Predator rules of engagement: “If it bleeds, we can kill it“.

Anybody who thinks a “divorce” is any possible option should stop passing the hash pipe, give it back to the pollster who thought such was possible, and stop listening to those stoned idiots.

And BTW, no one on the Right is “developing governing/war structures”, unless somebody has printed up three or four copies of “Herding Feral Cats For Dummies“.

Work forward from that reality. Anything else is psychosis.

    1. “because by and large, you don’t have red and blue states, you have 50 varying shades of purple.”
      ————————————————————————————————————————————

…When RED was “democrat”. (SAME as they EVER were. On Steroids)

And Blue was the other “Side”. (Family Friendly guidelines. Acknowledged. Observed.)

      NOT too long ago.

Laughed like a kamala in my youth, when my father told me…”It’s the SAME, only different”.

‘Preposterous’, i thought to myself @ the time. (Can’t even remember the subject matter)

i’ve come to accept THAT statement as Fact: Purty much ‘Universal*. Across the board.

*Universal = Does many, many things. NOT particularly well.

      And no one task exceptionally.

      VOTE. HARDER!

      Sincerely, S.A. Knife

Edit: Remembers. Don’t know how ta edit that field. Haste makes Waste. Will 👁 EVER learn?

    2. Last is first – yup, I’m going to pull the clock back. The Left is actively trying to calm things down so the frog can boil. The Right has developed them quickly (remember Virginia’s 2A protests?) but not so much right now.

It is purple, but it is also sorting, right now. I talk to some folks of like mind, and half of them have abandoned California due to ideological reasons. California has great chunks of folks on the Right, but the exodus is on.

War in my state (and many others like it) would take an afternoon. Others? Longer. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere between Virginia and Massachusetts. Or in the LA basin, or in Portland, Oregon.

      1. This is why a National Divorce is boob bait for the bubbas who think there’s an “Easy” button for this.

A National Cage Match, OTOH, is looking like a lead pipe cinch.

  7. We are very mindful of ‘joining an existing community’ at our new BOL in the country. We are doing everything we can- being respectful of the previous owner, exchanging favors and help with residents, being open and friendly, and cautiously expressing appropriate political beliefs.

The area is strongly conservative, some people have 50+ years in the community, some have more than 100, and some are like us, new. We were ‘invited’ in though, by a friend who has longstanding ties to the community. At least for him and people he has influence with, we are ‘the right kind of people.’ I’m very careful to live up to that assessment.

People see, they watch, they talk, and they compare notes. There are also constant little tests and checks as they feel you out. Are we willing to share? Do we ask for help? Do we offer help? Are we aware that WE have to fit in?

Someone mentions that if we are short of any kitchen stuff, their pantry looks like a grocery store… and I thank them and share that in a few months time, ours should be the same. Before the big freeze one of the neighbors asked if we were planning to use the firewood we got with the house, because he couldn’t get his order filled before the freeze was going to get here… and I told him to help himself if it came to that, and we’d work it out later.

Someone asks what I’m going to do with all the broken concrete from some of the work we’re doing… and I tell them they can have as much as they want, they are helping ME by getting rid of it for me (had a boat launch needed filling/ dirt road with a washout. Who knew broken concrete was so useful out in the sticks?)

Or when someone mentioned that they’d already picked which trees to cut to block access to our dirt road, and I laughed saying I’d done that for our subdivision too… and said I’d just limb the bottom, so it would be harder to roll or shift them out of the way, which earned a nod…

Anyway, for some folks you’ll ALWAYS be “the people that bought the old Johnson place” but we’re working hard to fit in, and be a part of what’s already there, while avoiding any longstanding feuds. Hopefully we have enough time to become accepted, and finish the necessary preps, before we NEED to flee to the country.

    nick

    1. Nick,
When the indians attack, and your new neighbors circle their wagons? You and yours are gonna be outside with the indians.

      1. Working really hard on that. That was my whole point. Could still happen, but that could happen anywhere frankly, and if it happens there, it’s 40 other families and not 40K like it would be in this part of Houston.

        Either way, it’s an improvement.
        n

    2. Nick, exactly. That’s a big reason why we left Houston for Modern Mayberry back in 2009. To be fair, the von Wilders left Germany for the same reason back in 1880. Better decades too soon, rather than one hour too late.

  8. ” … soldiers would, if ordered, shoot on American civilians.” In 1970, at the Kent State University massacre, that exact thing happened.
Red states divorce from Blue states? Nice thought, but what would we, in Texas, do about Austin? I’m sure there are lots of other examples.

  9. John, regarding your ‘Southern Border Apprehensions’ – you seemed happy that the number is fairly significantly down, although still at a historical time for this time of year. I’m not so sure that’s something to celebrate – given TPTB’s apparent overall plan to replace us all. Why do I say this? Because apprehensions being down has zero correlation to border crossings being down. It just means they’re ‘catching’ fewer. Possibly on purpose. Since in 99.9999% of such cases – they’re just being released, ‘apprehensions’ is nearly a useless metric. Especially if you’re using it to measure how many are coming in – unless you can be reasonably certain they’re catching all that ‘cross the border’. I’d guess that much of the variation your seeing is variability of how many they even bother trying to get. We are indeed living in clown world that it’s illegal to shoot invaders, since we’re not only NOT under a declared state of war, but that we’ve got ‘leaders’ that are inviting them in!

    1. Sorry if I gave that impression, I’m happy it’s down, but it’s still historically high. Down is good.

My thought? A proper border policy and they’d deport themselves inside of a month.

      1. I suspect it’d take more than just a proper border policy to cause self deportation – when all the goodies are still here for the taking…

        1. Review Aesop’s comment. My border policy would be as harsh, or harsher. People would deport themselves, since all the goodies would be gone on day one, and they would forfeit everything they own (bank accounts, cars, etc.) if it was still in the United States on day 14.

    2. 1) A proper border policy would include raiding businesses and checking papers. At any business with more than 5 illegals found, the CEO and CFO would be arrested as well, charged with criminal conspiracy, and the business seized under the RICO statutes.
I would do businesses starting with the letter “A” on Monday. “B” on Tuesday. And so on.
By Thursday morning, the line of cars trying to get out of the U.S. heading south would be backed up from Brownsville to Little Rock, from El Paso to Denver, and from San Diego to Portland.

      2) Based on five years’ time working 70-100 hrs/wk at the border, and my own firsthand observations, apprehensions (when they actually bother) amount to about 3% of actual crossings. The 97% they don’t catch include 96% of crossers they don’t see. The only “got-aways” they recognize are the ones they actually see crossing. They don’t count the millions they never see, and treat them as if they never happened.
Much live Vietnam body counts, it’s all bullsh*t, straight from the bull’s tailpipe.
Thus CBP thinks they’re batting .750, while their actual apprehension batting avg. is .003.

And the 97% they don’t catch?
Besides the tons of drugs that get through, we were finding discarded muslim prayer rugs and Korans, and discarded airline boarding passes, originating from Middle Eastern countries on the “Hell no!” list to Mexico City, in their piles of abandoned trash as early as the mid-2000s, when the ashes from 9/11 were still being sifted. The better BP officers related that they frequently were also catching cartel hitmen who’d knock people off in SD or LA, scamper back to Mexico until the heat was off, then sneak back into the U.S. One dude was wanted for nine LA area murders when they finally caught him coming back for #Ten. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Those are the folks sneaking over any given day, along with the dishwashers, car washers, and hotel maids.

      Sleep tight, America.

  10. What bothers me the most of people who leave states because of expense or too much government interference and move somewhere else. Then once established in new location, vote to enact laws that match the location they just evacuated from. What !!?!

    1. Yeah, my brother, John Wilder, has recounted that many times. His state went from Right to Left. And now the Lefties that moved in want to not let anyone else move in.

  11. “Violence is still minimal right now. I’m betting it stays down until June at the earliest.”

Have you been watching what is happening in Atlanta and Police City?

    1. Yup. First, though, this is the perception of violence. I think George Floyd riots really set the bar high. Second, the news has clamped down on that coverage, so I had to use, umm, other sources. Third, this was based on February data, though I don’t think it will even blip when it comes time for March.

  12. This notion of dividing into red and blue states is absurd.
Red states are still packed to the gills with liberals. Check out Texas or a dozen others. I live in Montana and we are choking on them.
Everyone would elect to live in red states.
Then they would vote to change them to blue states.
Any discussion of national divorce that doesn’t begin and end with skin color and ethnicity is a deeply unserious discussion.

    1. A lot to unpack there. The Red States are becoming Redder. The Blue States? Bluer.

Only a third is required. It’s close to there.

  13. The shoe is still not pinching hard enough for the vast majority of Sheeple, Normies, and Cucks to do anything meaningful. No one can predict when it will all fall down. The fools still have their comfort zones and distractions. You can read ONE SECOND AFTER, the PATRIOTS series, ALAS, BABYLON, THE DAY THE DOLLAR DIED, or any other of the myriad of survival porn books out there. They will give you food for thought and motivate the remnant of thinking people. Just do not get to saturated or obsessed. Live your lives.
The rest of the idiots will just continue on as the first two little pigs did in the Disney cartoon. And, when the Big Bad Wolf finally makes his presence known, they will be running around in tight little circles making high-pitched squealing noises before they assume room temperature. Or, they will have just enough time and gasoline to make it into my A/O and overwhelm the existing infrastructure for food, shelter, and other needful services. So keep prepping, keep silent and plan accordingly. Bleib ubrig.

  14. ” Again, unscientific, but it shows that there are a sizeable number of folks out there who believe that soldiers would, if ordered, shoot on American civilians”.

I polled the Bonus Army and it was 100%, when it comes to civilians probably not quite that high and it would be one ideology shooting the other but the percentage would be the same.
