Since the main character was an American fighting invading rapists in Europe, could this movie have been called Alien Vs. Predator? (all memes as-found)
First, I promise I’m not planning on making this a movie review blog. If you’ll note, most of the movies I’ve individually reviewed either show the best of what we can be as a people or the propaganda that has been inflicted on the world for decades. Now, we’re into a third case: a movie that’s reviewed because of its immediacy.
I once left a positive Yelp® review at the DMV noting how helpful and customer-service focused they were. The manager fired everyone.
I first heard about Citizen Vigilante this week on X®. What I heard, resonated. Here’s a quote from the titular (hehehe) character from fairly early on in the movie:
Who we are and what we do has ramifications in our lives, and in the lives of everyone around us, hm? You don’t understand? All right. Pay attention, let me explain this to you. If you get onto a bus and you don’t pay your ticket, if you go to the movie theater, if you grab a banana at a grocery store and you don’t pay, eventually, the cost of everything will go up. If ten percent doesn’t pay, the cost will go up ten percent to cover the loss, and that’s not fair. You might not understand this, but think about it. I’m sure you’ll come to the right decision.
I’m sure that this resonates with 99% of the regular readers here. This is the philosophy that separates a high-trust civilization from a low-trust civilization. This one attitude, that you pay for what you take, that wealth is earned into existence, not cheated from another is what has made the West and every other civilization that follows this, great.
And high home prices and long commutes are the price we pay to avoid living around “civilized” society.
I have been saying for years on this blog and even longer in person that the purpose of the justice system is to keep people from taking justice into their own hands, and it appears that Europe has reached the breaking point. Uwe Boll, who I’ve really not been familiar with before this, made this movie.
He wrote it, directed it, and financed it. It’s not a big budget Hollywood© film, but it’s a labor of his heart. Boll was originally going to title this movie Dark Knight, but Warner Brothers© sent a cease and desist, so he had to compromise there. Does he bow to political correctness here and there?
Sure, but in minor enough ways that I’m not going complain. However, I’m going to make a bold statement: this film is more red-pilled than Death Wish. It is garlic to Hollywood’s© vampire.
I am extremely smart: I have a theoretical degree in physics.
The genius of Boll is that by doing it himself, he could put up a big middle finger to the people that would silence him and write and film any damn thing he wanted. And Germany has done so, not giving the film a rating, which means I think that you can legally own it, but I don’t think you can legally buy it or sell it.
Why ban it? The violence isn’t all that bad. The singular sex scene isn’t anything to write home about. No. The Powers That Be think this movie is dangerous.
Based on history, I think this decision will make kids want to watch it even more. I’ll admit, it made me want to watch it more than the other crap Hollywood© is putting out.
As I wrote earlier, it’s low budget. The “me-too” crusade made the actor Armie Hammer effectively radioactive, so I don’t think he was doing much nor do I think he cost a lot. Hammer is, however, perfect in the protagonist role in this film. If he signed up for a low salary and a percentage of the gross profits, well, he’s certainly a happy man. It was released on June 19, and Citizen Vigilante has already grossed over $67 million dollars by Tuesday. This was at a reported cost of somewhere around $9 million to make the film, though I cannot vouch for the accuracy of any of these numbers: the source was “crap I found on the Internet”.
But I think they’re making money, which is good because some people have had a hard time finding work.
I left my job to pursue a dream of working in archeology. My career is in ruins.
The movie is also short, clocking in at 89 minutes (in metric, that’s 8.9 decahours). That’s good. It left me wanting more, rather than leaving me thinking, “that’s it?” or thinking, “man, this movie is dragging along”. It was just as long as it needed to be and the conclusion is satisfying and it had one line in it that had me howling with laughter, but maybe that will just be me.
I’m not going to spoil the line, and please don’t in comments.
I’m also not going to spoil the plot. It’s not a complicated one, and not surprising in any fashion.

I don’t know. I doubt it. Will Boll and Hammer? I hope so. I’d like to see more of this character. I recommend this movie, but keep in mind it’s not for kids.

Husband and I watched it last night (no X account but link available through Appalachian Renegades blog). Thank you, Elon Musk. It wasn’t great, but it was/is important and satisfying. These invaders and rapists need to be killed. But what really upset the rulers of Germany and the UK, who banned the movie, is that it extends the culpability to the Judge and police. Those are the ones imposing this on us, and our rulers don’t want anyone to even think about striking back at them. The movie is loosely based on a case that happened in Frankfurt in 2020. I’m surprised Boll was able to get some black and mohammedan actors to appear in the movie, which shows them fairly realistically (although the mother should have been in a hijab/chador, not western clothes). It’s totally unrealistic given the thousands of cameras that are now everywhere in both Europe and America (check the flock camera map available online – we found a few on our routes to the nearby ‘big’ towns of about 13,000 people).
The movie is ultimately satisfying, though, and raises those vital questions: When are White people going to act to defend themselves? How many need to be abused or killed? Will Western Civilization survive? Does it deserve to today?

Organized crime doesn’t stop being organized crime just because the criminal gang has lots of members. Extend the culpability to the politicians who hire the judges and prosecutors and police, and the voters who hire all of them with their taxes and produce military intelligence for them by snitching.

Actually I think Western clothes for the mother and sister of the gang rapist were a great choice. Boll didn’t take nearly as dark as I’d have. Two examples:
1. I expected the Citizen Vigilante (CV) was going to force the one gang rapist’s fellow gang-rapist buddies to rape his mother and sister.
2. Brothel should have featured not sassy mystery meat females, but obviously drugged out and/or beaten and bruised Nordic/Germanic women. Plus a big buck negro or a bearded MENA-looking pimp from whom the girls would cower.

I can’t decide if CV is merely exploitation violence porn or an anti-white op. Armie Hammer’s character is kind of an autistic dick. He’s not heroic. He seems to need “validation” from confronting the rape victims and forcing them to relive their trauma. He has daddy/abandonment issues. He kills or maims/burns the presumably innocent people in the yellow car. He monologues to the judge. Basically he acts like a whiny victim (like Hollywood favors, because Their entire identity is whiny victimhood) rather than the Western ideal of the stoic man who does what is Right without needing external affirmation. “Do it because it’s the right thing to do. You don’t do things for reward or praise or ‘likes’. Be a Man of the West. Not one of Them.”
Finally, the CV character had terrible opsec and worse persec. I don’t regret seeing the movie (if for no other reason that it discomfits people who hate me and mine), but it’s far from great, or even good, cinema. CV is wooden, and as noted above, an autistic-seeming dick. He has no development, no character arc. His plans depend on the invaders and the authorities being morons.
Sorry to the people who liked the movie. But that’s my take. The main redeeming feature is that it seems to scare the Bad People.
Valid points. All of your criticisms are regarding things we noticed as well. The character’s obsession with mold or superficial, external decay on buildings seems petty and obsessive, and his lecture to the three teens on the bus is ridiculous -they neither understand nor care about how the cost of crime impacts others or society as a whole.
The scene in the brothel did seem unnecessary, and we thought Boll might have had the character choose an obviously mixed-race woman to avoid raycissm charges – but your point that the whores should have been trafficked White women is an excellent one. Same about character’s nonexistent opsec. Consensus seems to be that movie is flawed and really not that good, but because it actually addresses the immigrant/crime invasion and the collusion of the local power structure (politicians, judges, police) it is still worthwhile and important.
A very good question: why is this movie important today, and what made it so. There we will find answers.

Though, the 1993 “Falling Down” was an interesting window into the “white male rage” LOL, plus a whole lot of foreshadowing. You see, Douglas’ character was just having a “break with reality”. It was a mental thing where he couldn’t appropriately channel his cogdis into NFL fandom.
Too bad he couldn’t hang in there until the forever wars when defense contracting for the Empire was a good thing again.

I was a big fan as a kid of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. television show and enjoyed the 2015 movie reboot where Armie played Illya Kuryakin. That film was played as a tongue in cheek retro 1960s adventure and was the perfect setup for a long running franchise. The box office numbers and Armie’s subsequent stupidity with women sank that possibility. I like him as an actor and am happy to see he is on the comeback trail. Haven’t seen CV yet, but I’m gonna.

Red meat for the normies. Some of the comments on X were really funny, particularly the first one that claimed the movie was PURE PROPAGANDA-FULL STOP. LOL. The main character seemed a bit slow on ‘swift justice’, and IMO didn’t bring real justice as I would like to see, but it’s a start, and someone is willing to say it who has a platform. The memes about Vlad and ‘bad neighbors make good fences’ is more along the lines that I’d like to see. Two to center-mass is just too low key to be ‘deterrent justice’, but being impaled on a 20 ft pike and planted in Central Park might cause the next potential perp to reconsider.

Most of the humor was not intended. It was a low budget movie, most of the extras and bit players had very little direction. The fat SWAT commander was hilarious.
Hammer did a decent job. But he makes a cigar store injun look like Jim Carey when it comes to facial expressions.
The sex scene was awkward and un-needed. Mulatto breasts, did not need to see.
UWE Boll is a known hack director, his claim to fame has been low budget video game movies and celebrity boxing matches. His usual RT score is in the low teens. So this is a big change for him.

I watched Citizen Vigilante a week ago. It seemed like it was made for people who already know what’s happening in Europe. People who have heard about Henry Nowak’s murder.
The vigilante movies of the 1970’s took the time to establish the evil of the bad guys and the background for the good guy. That’s what it’s going to take to get through to the normies.

I went to the link and figured i would watch then most likely buy because your right. I had to pause because the opening scene…I just am saturated with rage by how evil has been infiltrated in our society and there are people in positions of power in our western governments that facilitated this betrayal. European version of “Death Wish?” I met Boll when he was working with some friends of mine at Running With Scissors to make “Postal.” While it was just another video-game movie, I liked that he made a serious effort to step on everybody’s dick equally! I’ll be picking this one up for sure.

Difficult at this point to comment without the nasty language. A luxury ill-afforded. CV is a good picture, but not good enough. It needs to be a reality, on a massive scale, and not a leave-em-begging-for-more video. Hammer gives a wooden, one dimensional performance, but good enough for the message.
