Think Movies Suck Now? You’re Right.

“Freedom costs a buck-oh-five.” – Team America:  World Police

I’ve lost to a computer at chess, but never at kickboxing.

I write about movies (and books) sometimes because they are important – very important.  They are a part of the myths and backstory that defines a people and a country.  Part of this entertainment is (often) a reflection of who we think we are, or who we aspire to be – those are the characters and stories that endure and grow over time.

Comedies certainly have their place, as well.  Comedies can be rooted to universal truths that are (more or less) unchanging with time, think greed, yappy women, and farting.  Yes.  The oldest recorded joke in history that we have yet discovered is a (not very good) fart joke.

Why can’t you make fun of Steve Jobs dying?  It’s not PC.

Part of comedy, especially movie comedy, is the unexpected.  For that to happen, most of the time someone is the object of the joke – the person who is being made fun of.  In comedy in the 1970s, that person was almost always a white male, and almost always was the father and was almost always on the Right.

Why?

Feminism.  Comedy of the 1970s and onward was almost always written from the Leftist perspective.  Think Archie Bunker, who ended up being popular in spite of them trying to make him a buffoon.  Who had the first flush of the terlit on television?  Archie.  To make fun of white men who were on the Right.

Another tip:  don’t use the toilet brush as a microphone when you sing in the shower.

Heck, when I was in junior high and wondering why the only funny things were Leftist (I was on the Right, even then).  Then I read P.J. O’Rourke, and understood that it was more than possible, it was far, far funnier than Leftist humor ever imagined it could be.

The Right is funnier because the Right has Truth on its side.

For a long time, movies have been propaganda of one type or another.  Top Gun?  There’s a reason that the Navy spent millions to help make the movie – they approved the script.

There have been wild cards – people who make fun of everyone and everything – think Airplane.  One that really pushed the boundaries was Team America:  World Police.  South Park used to be funny, back when the stories were about the kids.  When the stories started to be about the adults?  Less funny.

But Team America:  World Police was something else.  It made fun of jingoistic movies while at the same time gutting hard-Left, virtue signaling idiot actors like Sean Penn, Janeane Garofalo, Alec Baldwin, Michael Moore, Danny Glover, and Tim Robbins.  They were all part of the Film Actors Guild, or F.A.G.

Yes.  They went there.  They also made fun of AIDS and homosexuals.  And Moslems.  And movies like Top Gun.  The rumors are that the studio approved it because it was so politically incorrect, and might be cheap because it was made with puppets instead of actors.

I’m glad COVID didn’t come from a Chinese bear.  Then we’d have had a pandademic.

Needless to say, making a movie that makes fun of any protected group is no longer allowed.  Why are comedies dead?  Because it gets really old, really fast, when the only person you can make fun of is the same person who buys all the movie tickets:  heterosexual white Christian men who have XY chromosomes.  You know, “literally Hitler”.

Comedy is now unfunny, mostly.  Please feel free to leave exceptions in the comments.  And movies as a whole are borderline unwatchable.  Part of the collapse of the box office (and small theaters) was COVID.  The other part is that movies suck.

The reason that movies suck is that they’re now just blatant propaganda, start to finish.  The latest Marvel® movie, The Marvels™ is a commercial failure, and a box office flop.  The studio is blaming the usual suspects:  the actor’s strike, superhero fatigue, white supremacy, anti-feminism.

That’s easy.

Harder to face is that their stupid movie sucks.

This was even in his speeches . . . remember him saying, “Let me be clear”?

Why does it suck?  It’s about women that don’t need no man.  Oh, and couples who have kids don’t want to spend money to have their kids watch Gay Buzz Lightyear™ and ask questions about why Buzz© has two mommies.  That’s it.

Who is the primary consumer of superhero movies?  White men.  Who is the primary consumer of movies for children?  People capable of making children, which, for every year in the history of mankind before 2020, were known as “men” and “women”.

Yes, white men like to look at attractive women in skintight costumes, but only the most Leftist is willing to sit and watch a movie that makes fun of them and marginalizes them.

Why does Marvel© (and Disney™) lose money?  Because they forgot who buys the tickets.

Men.

I’ve gotten to the point that, unless I’ve heard about a movie, if it was made in the last four years, it’s a hard pass, even if it looks interesting.  The movies started going south in, say, 2018.  My take is that was a reaction to Trump.  It so triggered nearly everyone who writes or acts in a movie that all they wanted to do was attack a relatively Centrist guy who just happened to be President.

What do your get if you take an entire human digestive tract and lay it out on a football field?  Arrested.

The reaction led to . . . crap.  Every Leftist simply had to get their message out that trans was the new normal and white men were awful and stupid and that NASA stuff on the Moon was a fluke.  Oh, they tried to take credit for that, too.  Because white guys, you know, can’t do math.

I also noticed it with books.  I was a lifelong reader of science fiction – I loved the ideas.  Then, around 2010, I started to notice that the books in Barnes and Noble® mainly . . . sucked.  I thought it was me.  I thought I was old and jaded.  But, nope, I read some of the old stuff and it was still great.

Science fiction was destroyed by The Narrative, too.  The people who picked the books that made it to the shelves only picked Leftist crap filled with weak people who hated themselves and hated everything True, Beautiful, and Good.  In this breakup, it wasn’t me, it was them.

They came for comics and killed them.  They came for books and killed them.  Lastly, they came for movies, and killed them.  Every book and every movie has a message, and most are propaganda of some sort or another, for good or bad.  Propaganda to get kids to brush their teeth?  That’s good.

But propaganda to turn them into self-loathing transexuals?  That’s 100% against the True, the Beautiful, and the Good.

This was the 2022 “woman” of the year.  Guess guys do everything better.

Watch what goes into your mind.  Watch what goes into the minds of your children.  Help them to aspire to be noble and virtuous and strong.  Help them to understand that jokes about yappy, farting women have been funny for 4,000 years, and will be funny for as long as women fart.

There are still good books out there.  There are still good movies, though they are uncommon, since the rot is very, very deep.  But freedom?

It still costs a buck-o-five.

  1. Bibles are free to anyone who wants one.

Camp of the Saints is 200 bucks on ebay and free to download

    1. Movies by Christopher Nolan like Dunkirk and Oppenheimer are definitely not woke, and pretty much the only movies I ever buy tickets for…

  2. As an aside, if you wanna see woke leftist PC elements overwhelm a tedious sci-fi time travel adventure that literally goes nowhere on several levels, you need to watch Bodies on Netflix.

    https://www.netflix.com/title/81252916

But back to movies. I have really been looking forward to legendary director Ridley Scott’s take on Napoleon, coming out next week.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAZWXUkrjPc

Playing the short French guy is Joaquin Phoenix, last seen winning an Oscar as The Joker. Fun fact: his first movie role was in Space Camp alongside Lea Thompson. But I digress.

Since this is Apple TV production, you don’t get to see the Director Cut with the naval battles unless you are a subscriber to Apple TV. So in a very real sense, the version coming out in theatres next week is actually just a two hour commercial.

Even worse, numerous reviewers say Napoleon comes across as an unintentional comedy.

Ah, well. We’ll always have Alien. Here’s lookin’ at you, Ridley.

      1. …and one more comment about Bodies on Netflix.

As a teen I was a BIG fan of the post-1968 colorblind propaganda cop show The Mod Squad. I can still hum the theme song today, very catchy.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k0QI2QVcN4

“Cops. One white, one black, one blond”. Hey, I had to watch SOMETHING until Miami Vice came along.

Bodies is: “Four cops. One home, one kike, one muz, one crip. And their evil white superiors who stood in their way.”

    1. Forget Alien.
      You want Black Hawk Down.
      Or Gladiator.
But any way you can get your hands on it, his debut pic, The Duellists: Keith Carradine and Harvey Keitel as two Napoleonic-era French officers who keep crossing paths, and swords.
In a movie shot so beautifully by former photographer Ridley Scott, that every frame of every scene looks like a Renaissance masterpiece. Hand to God.

        1. Maybe review the film on the site? It is quite good, but at core it is propaganda . . . very effective and entertaining propaganda. Look out, Lookout Mountain! lol

The history of the CIA and of the S. Cal film industry are the same history. They grew up together. Very, very few movies have been released from Hollywood that do not carry the approval stamp of American/British intel. ‘The Duellists’ is no exception.

If you review the movie, I will explain in more detail why it is at heart feminist propaganda. Hollywood is located in the ‘City of the Angels’ and that ain’t a coincidence.

          1. Wall Of Text Alert!
            TL;DR:
Ray’s grip on sanity is somewhat tenuous.

“Hollywood” began as shorthand for the motion picture industry in 1911, when the first studio was launched thereabouts. Within a year, there were 15 more there.

The CIA, meanwhile, wasn’t founded until 1947, and its predecessor the OSS only began in 1942.

So that was remarkably clever of the CIA to perfect time travel, and go backwards 30 years without telling anyone, in order to influence an industry born when “Wild” Bill Donovan, founder of the OSS, was still a twenty-something fledgling bachelor lawyer in Buffalo, NY, who hadn’t even joined the NY National Guard yet.

Show your work. Pics, or it didn’t happen.

The Duellists was based on a short story by Joseph Conrad first published in 1908, comfortably preceding nearly anything remotely feminist except a few sour-pussed suffragettes thwarted at every turn.
It was made on a shoestring budget, and produced by the man who gave you Midnight Express, Chariots Of Fire, and The Killing Fields, among dozens of films. Not a lot of feminism anywhere there to be found, but six Palm D’Or nominations (two wins), thirty BAFTA nominations (fourteen wins), sixteen Golden Globe nominations (eight wins), twenty Oscar nominations, and nine Oscar wins, including Best Picture among them, for just those four flicks.

That’s Hollywood neither run by the CIA, nor sucking.

I’ve already reviewed the flick on my blog (https://raconteurreport.blogspot.com/2014/08/flick-pick-duellists.html) as one of 365 Must-See movies of all time, and everything I said about it nearly a decade ago still rings true. Oh, and there’s no rape anywhere in the movie, not even obliquely referentially off-camera (obligatory query here about a substance abuse problem on your part, or a possible stroke…WTF, dude?), and the few female characters in the flick (three, IIRC) have the most minor and perfunctory parts in any movie from the release of Twelve O’Clock High, and until Master and Commander came out.

Hollywood is located where it is, because a number of overwhelmingly Jewish immigrant film producers from Ft. Lee NJ (OT: Have they renamed that racist city yet? Just wondering…), repeatedly harassed, shaken down, and sued by Thomas Edison (trying to monopolize all US film production through influence with crooked East Coast kangaroo courts, via open and rampant anti-immigrant sentiment and unabashed anti-Semitism), travelled by train to Phoenix to make movies out of the reach of his predations. They happened to arrive the one day of 200 when it was raining in Arizona, so they got back on the train and continued their trip to the terminus at Union Station in Los Angeles, where they found near proximity to oceans, beaches, deserts, mountains, woodlands, and cityscapes, no unions, cheap real estate, 300 days of sunshine a year, no Edison-ruled kangaroo courts, and 3000 miles separating them from the afflictions of the Thief Of New Jersey.
It rapidly became a stampede of their fellows, as more immigrant Jews like Carl Laemmle, Louis B. Mayer, William Fox, Sam Goldwyn, Adolph Zuckor, David Sarnoff, the Cohn Brothers, and all four of the Warner Brothers moved to Hollywood and set up, in rapid order, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Columbia, MGM, Fox Studios, RKO, and Warner Brothers Studios. Perhaps you’ve heard of them.

All of this some 25 years before the CIA even existed, and years prior to women even getting the vote.

I lived in the town most of my life, and worked in The Biz for two decades. So did you really want to talk about the motion picture industry, or were you just making chit-chat?

If you can find any feminist agenda in The Duellists, a movie about two guys who spend thirty years trying to kill each other with swords and pistols over a minor point of honor, you’re probably also wearing a gas mask every time an airliner flies over laying chemtrails full of that eeeeevil dihydrogen monoxide. You should take it off, and come up for air. I don’t know what agenda you think you’re serving here, but you appear to be barking up the wrong tree. Through your underpants.

The rampant feminism is the destruction of the Hollywood that created films like The Duellists (cf. James Bond, Star Trek, LOTR, and Star Wars). Because like all shrews and harpies, they can’t be happy until they’ve ruined everything for everyone else, including anything where there are few women), no small number of those shrews and harpies because of openly communist/anarchist sympathies. They throw bombs because they want to burn it all down.Everything is downstream from culture, and film is the quintessential American art form, for more than the last 100 years. Blow up that tentpole, and you sweep away pone of the most commonly shared realities of the American culture since Babe Ruth was still a pitcher.

Hence the necessity of undermining and subverting it, and destroying any mythos that undergirds moral and physical courage, integrity, determination, truth, beauty, and virtue. Especially manly virtue.

None of this campaign is an accident, and it’s been going on for decades.

But trying to paint The Duellists as crypto-feminism is about as hare-brained and far-fetched as trying to paint John Wayne as crypto-queer.

Seriously, man: check yourself before you wreck yourself.

      1. The cinematography and production values were excellent for that film, and the sets are realistic.

If you look carefully at the narrative structure, however, you will see that — at heart — it is a feminist movie. The action of the men is always driven by the female, and it is the female who makes the decisive choices in the film, which at heart is about rape. The men are just chess-pieces: they carry all the action, but the woman turns the film.

Granted, the propaganda is very subtly done, because it is disguised in an attractive plot and set. When one is billions of years old, it really isn’t that difficult to zoom the sheep before shearing.

  3. Yes, “culture” has been destroyed. They can’t create their Commie paradise until every vestige of white, cis-gender maledom has been totally discredited, oops, genocided.

But, there’s a real problem “they” don’t forsee, as was pointed out by Steve Sailer on unz.com this week on 11/13.

A “competency crisis” is growing as the USA runs out of whites.

        1. I honestly had no idea who she was; so I looked her up… I concur, McChuck, definitely “or something”. Something “in particular”.

  4. Every book and every movie has a message, and most are propaganda of some sort or another, for good or bad.

–it’s deeper than that. There is an ulterior motive to EVERY THING now. Games have to be “educational”. Sports have to “build teamwork”. No one does anything for “fun” or for the simple joy of doing…

Kids’ activities are educational, resume’ builders, or guilt assuaging. They don’t play a pickup game in the street, even if there are kids on the street, because organized versions of the sport have driven the joy out of it. The existence of FFPS Soccer implies the existence of soccer that isn’t fun or positive.* No one climbs trees or has “tree forts” anymore. Kids are bored because the haven’t learned to have fun. Movies and books are just examples of the change. It’s Karens writ large. (Joyless harridans scolding everyone for the crime of being human.)

The safety nazzis contributed to the problem. As physical creatures with bodies, we can get hurt by physical activities. At the same time, we are designed to interact with our environment PHYSICALLY. We learn a lot from getting hurt, and taking risks and avoiding getting hurt. As the safety nazzis influence grew, fewer and fewer physical experiences became possible for kids, who then grew to adults and continued to focus on simulations and ersatz experiences.

They play a game where they garden, instead of gardening. They play adventure games instead of adventuring. So many of the games people are playing are simulation of work. Some of the most popular are almost all what we older gamers called “grinding” or making stuff you need in the game, without ever playing a game…Minecraft, I’m looking at you. They (and I do it too) watch videos of people working and feel like THEY WERE WORKING. How else do you explain hashtag activism, where exhorting for an action is seen as equivalent or even superior to actual action?

Every experience is mediated, in the literal sense of something being in the middle. Very few kids get any direct experiences of the world, and they grow up into adults without that sense of reality, the gut check of sweaty palms before leaping for the monkey bars, knowing you’ll fall to the sharp white stones of the playground if you miss. They don’t have the feel of the mud between their toes or the stink when the tadpoles they caught and brought home all die. They don’t have the thrill of bringing home some building materials “scavenged” from a jobsite, to build a fort under a bush, where they can sit in the dirt with a friend and hang out without feeling guilt for not doing anything with their time.

The adults have made even play and games into work. After a literal lifetime of that, is it any wonder that young adults aren’t interested in MORE work?

The interrelations and cause and effect are there to be seen, if you have the interest in looking.

    ——————
Gah, I probably should have put this at my own place. Sorry for the length John, I’ll cut it off here.

    * (actually makes it explicit, but the canonical statement is that one thing implies the existence of its opposite, so that was the form I used.)

  5. What is this impotent masochism that compels today’s White men to patronize movies at all? Hating on White heterosexual males is not just de rigueur, but mandatory, according to…someone very powerful. Cancellation is the punishment for the crime of disobedience. Or just noticing.

Even movies for children are so packed with don’t-need-no-man feminism, multi-culti propaganda and celebration of sexual deviancy that if my kids were still young I would refuse to take them. You could not even make a movie such as the original Toy Story now, what with its shocking lack of queer, crippled BIPOCs. The character Sid was certainly an admirable stand-in for the requisite evil White man in need of schooling. But being schooled by a collection of anthropomorphic toys who are clearly non-diverse would never fly today. Where’s the sassy black superchick with wild, frizzy hair that no YT may touch? Where’s the uber-mature, lesbionic Latina, wise beyond her years, who Lady-MacGyvers the solution that no straight White male could fathom?

If movies rely on patronage from hetero White men, then any self-respecting hetero White man should boycott the hateful message and refuse to patronize them. The box office receipts clearly show the score: Top Gun: Maverick and Oppenheimer, though still somewhat woke-tainted and flawed, were stunning successes. The Marvels, Toy Story reboots, and Ghostbusters: The Vagining, um… not so much.

Send the message, hetero White men. Send it loud and proud: We’re mad as hell, and we’re not gonna take it anymore! Only when Hollywood studios are Bud-Lit to infinity and beyond will anything change for the better.

    1. Whereas “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” was very good. Maybe not as good as the original, but still much much better than that feminist dogsqueeze.

  6. Been watching a series called ‘Ray Donovan’ about a ‘fixer’ operating in Los Angeles. High production values, good acting, snappy script.

It’s pure propaganda, though. Every couple of episodes, a scene is arranged where a male (always white) will commit some ‘offense’ against a female.

Called her a bitch in a bar. Tried to grab her sexually . . . the writers and producers clumsily inject this ‘bad man offending female’ trope into the plots, and we just KNOW that in the succeeding action or episode, heroic braveheart Ray (or some other avenging male) will beat the living crap out of Mr. Offender. Tingles all around for the Gentler Sex.

This has two purposes: first, to reinforce amongst males that their correct and righteous role in society is to act as thug-enforcers whenever a female feels she has been ‘wronged’. Cuck Chivalry on hyperdrive. The U.S. court system.

Second, the Beatdown Barrage exists to sate the vast, apparently unquenchable thirst the modern Western female has for enacting violent vengeance on any male who dares to displease her. It is very difficult to find even ONE modern movie or series episode in which the retributive thirst of the female is not slaked by bloody violence done upon The Offender.

The CIA has been running Hollywood since tinseltown’s origins. And Lucy Fer has been running the CIA since its origins. That angel is far, far older than this planet, and the subtleties available to that being are greatly advanced, and not detectable by most shee . . . people.

Multiply the ‘Ray Donovan’ fem-agenda by a hundred thousand similar scenes and you get a nation full of bloodthirsty, enraged females . . . and a nation full of men deeply conditioned to serve them. Both males and females believe they are righteous in their anti-male attitudes, because for fifty years their televisions and movie screens have fortified this assumption.

The males get to pretend they are Braveheart Saviors of Womankind, and the females get to luxuriate in their control over the male population.

      1. See commentaries above. I enjoyed ‘The Duellists’ for its cinematic, artistic and historical values, but I never forget that it is ultimately satanic propaganda. I note how the embedding was done, and I learn more about the enemy’s methods, so to construct effective responses. Intel is a two-way street.

The modern, imagistic Western collective mind, after all, is shaped by television (1950s) and film. The underlying assumptions of most modern Westerners are derived chiefly from these sources, certainly not from Scripture.

  7. Premise: Granted.
    But 2018…?
You could stick a fork in 90% of them by 2000.
    And then it got worse.

You’d need a centipede’s legs to count the great movies from 1980 to 2000.
You could count the great flicks since 2000 on your fingers.
In most years, you can count the good flicks on your thumbs.
Some of those years, even the drummer for Def Leopard can count the good movies on his thumbs. All one of them.

But the worse they get, the better monologues by people like Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes a coupla years back become.

  8. John, I cannot actually remember the last comedy I watched – movie or television. The series Friends (post run) and individual episodes of things like The Office or Parks and Rec that my kids watched. Honestly, Disney kid comedies up to about 2012 or so were actually pretty funny (and still hold up relatively well). Movie comedies? I am literally drawing a blank.

I might split the difference between you and Aesop on the when it went bad. Even after 2000, we still had The Lord of The Rings Trilogy and Harry Potter The Series, Tron Legacy, 300, and Iron Man. But yes, compared to 1980-2000, a virtual wasteland.

    1. Parks and Rec is a perfect reference: started funny, ended up preaching. I was right in there when comedy died.

    2. LOTR was outstanding but still, it did not escape pollution via two of the feminist writers.

  9. There are some really good modern movies out there.

“Renfield” was a hoot. Lots of action, lots of blood and guts and horror, and… funny. Especially if you’ve ever really paid attention to all the pre-“Twilight” and Anne-Riceish vampires. Like, you know, vampires can’t enter unless invited. Things like that.

The “John Wick” series, of course. The last one was really good, and left lots of openings for a JW5.

“Nobody” was another hoot. Just fun.

Hmmm… Noticing that all the good movies are ‘guy’ flicks. And didn’t make Christian straight white males the villains.

    1. Sweetie Pie & I have been togheter for 5 years and hadn’t gone to a movie together once. Until last March or so.

“Cocaine Bear” was a HOOT. Highly recommended, very un-woke. Rumor is “Cocaine Shark” is in the works.

        1. Total number of chicks with line-speaking parts in M&C: zero.

          Twelve O’Clock High: also zero.
          Lawrence Of Arabia: zero.
          Dirty Harry: nearly zero.
          Magnificent Seven: 0.01, IIRC
          Zulu: one.
          The Great Escape: zero.
          Saving Private Ryan: zero.
          Jaws: two, albeit very briefly.
The Alamo(1960): three. And one of them had a monologue that showed bigger balls than most of the male cast.
          Gettysburg: zero.
The entire Band Of Brothers ten-part 20-hr. miniseries: one.

Clever readers may note a trend here.

As referenced in my reply to Ray, above.

And I can name another dozen, off the top of my head, with one or two female parts, and which parts, every time they make an appearance, bog the movie down and make it worse, not better.

Which also handily undoes the idea that movies are some secret feminist agenda. Because if it is, they’re doing a really lousy job of it.

It’s only recently that the woketarded stunning and brave female characters and disposable dumbassed men have become the poisoned pill killing recent movies.

And yes, you can find a few over-achieving examples of that before the year 2000, and a few kick-ass everything-that’s-right-in-life examples made after that year, but by and large, it’s a pretty good demarcation point of when the rot metastasized.

          1. I think if we graphed it, 2000 was an inflection point, as was 2010-ish, followed by 2018. Just spitballing.

          2. You appear to have a significant amount of free-floating rage and resentment. For some reason you feel the need to direct that at me. So this’ll be my last interaction with you, lest my existence trigger you the more.

I wrote that Hollywood and the CIA ‘grew up together’. Please re-read it. I did not write that they were ‘founded’ together, which you twisted into your rant premise. You were so eager to rage-out on me that you conveniently ran with that. Whilst railing about ‘my’ insanity, ahem.

Please attend to your own problems and do not project them onto me.

    2. I was okay with Renfield and had several chuckles, liked Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent more. I haven’t seen JW4, but look forward to it. Nobody would be one where I’d like to see a sequel.

      Nice selection!

    3. The first JW was pretty Woke-free, as I recall. But by the second, he already was on his knees before a woman who held authority over him. barf

There is never a reason for a man to kneel before a woman. It’s inversion of God’s order.

          1. Be careful what you wish for.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:28)

“On the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them “mankind” on the day when they were created.” (Genesis 5:1-2)

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3: 28)

“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.” (I Peter 3:7)

Don’t confuse roles with status. God is not partial.

        1. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:28)

          Says literally nothing about equality.

“On the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them “mankind” on the day when they were created.” (Genesis 5:1-2)

          Says nothing about equality.

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3: 28)

Says in Christ Jesus we are all part of his church. Despite appearances, not about equality between men and women.

“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.” (I Peter 3:7)

The only one that seems to talk about equality. Did you go translation shopping? Because I checked several and most of them don’t mention “equal.”

          Your arguments are trash.

  10. Puss In Boots: The Last Wish was much, much better than I expected it to be. It even teaches a really good lesson. Of course, the villain is a white man. That’s probably why Disney let it happen.

  11. It’s not a movie (yet. (Hey, a guy can dream!)) But you might like this book. I’m currently publishing serially. Once I have everything sorted, I want to make it available as e-book & print.

It’s definitely not woke. It might be message-fic, but I hope it’s a good story too.

If you do stop by, let me know what you think. I love honest feedback (even if it hurts).

  12. We are coming up on Black Friday.
For Wanda with her digestive issues, it will forever be known as Fizzy-Toots Friday…
