Civil War 2.0 Weather Report: The Jenga® Civil War And Lessons From Canada

“Superhero landing. She’s gonna do a superhero landing. Wait for it.” – Deadpool

What’s more than step 9, but not quite to step 10? This clock.

  1. Common violence. Organized violence is occurring monthly.
  2. Opposing sides develop governing/war structures. Just in case.
  3. Common violence that is generally deemed by governmental authorities as justified based on ideology.
  4. Open War.

As close as we are to the precipice of war, be careful. Things could change at any minute. Avoid crowds. Get out of cities. Now. A year too soon is better than one day too late.

In this issue: Front Matter – The Jenga® Civil War – Violence And Censorship Update – Updated Civil War 2.0 Index – Lessons From Canada – Links

Front Matter

Welcome to the latest issue of the Civil War II Weather Report. These posts are different than the other posts at Wilder Wealthy and Wise and consist of smaller segments covering multiple topics around the single focus of Civil War 2.0, on the first or second Monday of every month. I’ve created a page (LINK) for links to all of the past issues. Also, subscribe because you’ll join nearly 640 other people and get every single Wilder post delivered to your inbox, M-W-F at 7:30AM Eastern, free of charge.

The Jenga™ Civil War

The game of Jenga© has been pretty popular in the United States since it was introduced into the United States. The object of the game should be familiar to most – build a tower taller and taller until it falls. It always falls. Someone tips the table, someone pulls out the one piece that shouldn’t come out, or Islamic terrorists decide to fly a chicken wing into it.

But Jenga™ illustrates something else. If you keep increasing the instability of a structure, it will fail. It’s an when, not an if. Jenga® doesn’t end until the tower falls over, and each pull and replace of a piece reduces stability.

As found on the Internet.

What causes the collapse?

It doesn’t matter, unless you’re the player that does it. What matters are the conditions. As I’ve tried to do below with the graphs, I’ve tried to create a barometer for conditions that might lead to Civil War. And, no, we’re really not there yet. Is the blood flowing? Certainly.

Are both sides engaged? Certainly not. That’s what scares the Leftists in Washington, D.C. to no end. The idea that people on the Right will engage in a strategic sense to start and end the phase of open-armed warfare keeps them up at night.

And it should. But, again, it’s not the spark. Historians in the future will write about the spark, but the spark would have no effect if the conditions weren’t there. What are the conditions? You know them, you feel them. There is no sense of who and what we are anymore.

As found.

As a nation, we have no goals except what hedonism can be sold to us weekly. It’s what’s streaming, what’s playing, and what new McFood© is coming out this week. Commercial activity can’t be the binding for a nation, so our ties are just as tight as those Jenga™ bricks, kept together by gravity, inertia and little else.

And every week the tower gets one brick higher.

Think Joe’s not taking this seriously?

Violence And Censorship Update

Again, not much on the organized violence this January. Censorship, as usual, is busy.

Rogan

Joe Rogan is a podcaster who has managed to become slightly more popular than me. His podcasts regularly pull 11,000,000 listeners. Rogan also was big enough to get serious A-list quests. All of that made Spotify® decide that Rogan is valuable. How valuable? They pay Rogan more than they pay for every bit of music that they stream. Yes. Joe Rogan is more important to Spotify© than all of the recorded music in the history of the world. He’s worth $100,000,000 to them.

And he’s said things that irritate people invested in the Narrative. He’s not vaxxed, and has (like your humble host) had the ‘VID. He took Ivermectin. I got by with chicken soup and loads of decongestant. I’ve never been much to listen to Joe, I’ve probably only heard a few minutes (in total) of his podcasts.

They’ve been after Joe, and it started with Neil Young. Despite being less relevant than greased back Fonzie hair, Neil made the papers with his demand that his music be pulled off of Spotify© because Joe Rogan said things he didn’t agree with. Then other, equally irrelevant artists followed stamping their walkers to demand that Spotify® not play them to the one person that asks for their song every six months.

As found.

That was just the start. Someone has now have gone back through Rogan’s early podcasts and have a supercut of him saying the only word that is now taboo for some people to say. Rogan has now apologized, which is the first mistake, and now his blood is in the water. What happens next?

Who can say?

DOJ

On January 11, the Department of Justice announced a new domestic terrorism task force, because “We have seen a growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus, as well as those who ascribe to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.”

I’m not jumping on a limb and being Nostradamus by betting that it’s nearly certain that the people who started CHAZ as an avowed foreign nation won’t be prosecuted. But if someone tries to lead a trucker’s strike like in Ottawa? You can bet that the DOJ, FBI, NSA and every other three-letter agency will be on them. Because terrorism really only applies to things the Right does.

Updated Civil War II Index

The Civil War II graphs are an attempt to measure four factors that might make Civil War II more likely, in real time. They are broken up into Violence, Political Instability, Economic Outlook, and Illegal Alien Crossings. As each of these is difficult to measure, I’ve created for three of the four metrics some leading indicators that combine to become the index. On illegal aliens, I’m just using government figures.

Violence:

Violence is down. January isn’t (usually) a big month for violence, so that’s to be expected. I would expect the next few months to remain calm as well, perhaps turning back up in April.

Political Instability:

Up is more unstable, and it’s headed upwards, fast. Joe has lost his base.

Economic:

The drop in economic confidence continued this month. Expect a bigger drop this month. The economy is falling apart.

Illegal Aliens:

This data was at record levels for this time of year. All-time record levels. Plus? Airflights for illegals. No DOJ task force for this . . .

Lessons from Canada

Canada has lived under very strict fear COVID restrictions. Trudeau has recently tightened the restrictions, especially with respect to truckers. You can look up the details, but to summarize: it was the last straw for many truckers.

As found, though in this case I don’t think he’s up to invading an ice cream store.

Truckers have a unique place in society. They provide that final lifeline on everything from the chlorine that the water treatment plant uses to food at Wal-Mart® to the toilet paper that everyone panic-bought in 2020. Many of them also own their own trucks. They work when they want to as owner operators.

As found.

Make them mad? Right now, hundreds of Canadian truckers have had enough, and are occupying Ottawa. How serious is Justine Trudeau taking this? He vanished like Saddam Hussein, but with better press coverage. He ran away, and left the Leftists of Ottawa to their own devices.

As found. I wonder what will happen to Justine’s son, Uday?

And they are upset. Apparently, their cats are of the very sensitive type (memes as found):

Also, the Leftists tried to set up a counter protest. /POL/ got into their communication channels, giving conflicting starting and ending times for the protest, and filling the protestors up with doubt, “Boy, that sure seems like a long time to protest, and it’s going to be cold out there. Don’t forget to dress in layers! I’ll be with you in spirit!”

As a lark, it has been a lot of fun for the Right, and already two provinces (they’re like states, but made of maple syrup) have indicated that restrictions are going away soon in those provinces. The convoy is working.

As such, the Ottawa police is now trying to crack down on the logistics of the truckers. Will it work? Maybe. Maybe not.

I think two lessons are that this will never, ever be allowed in the United States in a major Leftist city and will be censored by the major news media working in concert with .gov if it ever starts to develop. The crackdown would be ruthless, especially if it occurred in D.C. Leftists are as afraid of actual workers as they are of actual work.

As found. Also, Leftist logic thought process.

  1. John, on #8 (Opposing sides develop governing/war structures. Just in case.), what war structure does /ourside/ have, and where does one enlist? (Asking for a friend, of course.)

    1. James, I escalated that one after the Virginia 2nd Amendment protests where, out of zero, we had thousands (in that case aimless) show up. Then January 6. Now, the Canadian Truckers.

/ourside/ can coalesce very, very quickly, and has done so. I would expect people are also taking individual actions. They certainly are taking individual preps . . . .

  2. Meme for my fellow nerds:

    ===

“It’s an if, not a when.”

    Disagree.
If you only look at CWs then your graphs seem to predict a CW, but not when you look at situations with similar graphed conditions which didn’t lead to a CW or a collapse. The best example would be the USSR. You can’t get much worse than that, yet they didn’t revolt. In the Holodomor they starved in place; do you think our current masters wouldn’t stoop to burning a harvest and shutting down transport to a hostile region? Contrary to popular opinion, the USSR never collapsed. It let a few ethnic republics break off, then shuffled a few people in the government around and let foreign capitalists control the country. Which made things even worse than under the old system. Then Putin ran off the “Russian” oligarchs and you know the rest. The thing is, Putin was probably the best-case scenario for Russia. It could be a lot worse for them now.

The angry masses chimping out rarely happens in history, and the few times it has always ended with the masses getting trampled by heavily armored knights or providing shade and ambience along the Appian Way. There has been a lot of research on revolutions, and in general there is a list of things that the victorious had in common. Like a neighboring sanctuary, foreign support, a government that won’t depopulate vast swaths of territory, dissidents along the whole spectrum of social class including elites.

We have none of these things. Shooting the mailman and engaging in a guerrilla campaign might make for exciting novels and fantasies, but it would be futile. To have a chance at keeping our freedom we’d need control of multiple states in flyover country, with governors that are on our side and with the balls to fend off federal overreach. Collapse is not going to happen; no large nation has ever collapsed such that government ceased to exist. They break apart into smaller polities; there is never a situation where individuals are wandering around in a state of nature saying, “well what system should we adopt for our governance?”

Rome didn’t collapse either, it also broke apart like the USSR. Euro titles of nobility almost all descend from Roman administrators. ‘Count’ = county administrator, ‘Duke’ = regional military commander. Do you feel comfortable with your governor becoming your king, and the mayor of your states’ largest city becoming your duke? Remember that in such a situation people are going to be crying out for stability and safety, at any cost. How many of today’s politicians won’t take advantage of such a situatino?

But let’s stipulate that we do somehow win a revolution. What does that victory look like? Yuri Bezmenov stated that part of the Bolshevik plan is to make sure that the leaders of both sides are controlled by them, so no matter who wins, the Leftists get back in power.

Are we going to reinstate Constitutional rule? We’ll have the same voters electing the same idiots, and the same Big Money that controls things now still with the big money to subvert the system.

If we can’t even get a few governor’s elected then it is doubtful we are going to win any sort of conflict, or win any sort of peace that follows such a conflict.

    Get local. Get organized.

    1. Ha! Love the meme!

And I would say that the history of the American people has been different, and there are still the core required that have tasted freedom. Russians went from subjects to being subjects. They never had a shot a freedom, even latching on to the Germans as better than Stalin (re: Hiwis).

      Wednesday continues these thoughts (sorta).

  3. “[T]hose who ascribe to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.”

I think that describes most of our Founding Fathers and the colonists who fought the Empire and won. I’m sure that’s how King George would have described our ancestors.

  4. Enjoy the Anarchy part of AnarchoTyranny.
Soft hive borg dullards will go bat guano when they realize that the precious state doesn’t give a rip about them or their problems.
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law is the Aleister Crowley saying that he lifted from the Hellfire Club and comrade Sobama is featured in a non photochopped shirt in a gym with a clueless adoring young YT fan with a shirt on featuring that saying.
The globalists are Luciferian and depopulation by any means necessary is the plan.
Wars between regional powers, Civil Wars, Bosnia x Rwanda style, plandemics, grocery shopping being like a trip to Saks Fifth Avenue or Macys and healthcare that is downright dangerous and deadly.
Impossible living conditions will bring about the dictatorship of the proletariat via anarchy or never letting a crisis go to waste.
I’ll drive the decoy tanker while the rebuilders of civilization head in the opposite direction.

  5. “ Then other, equally irrelevant artists followed stamping their walkers to demand that Spotify® not play them to the one person that asks for their song every six months.“

Too funny! I think my obituary might someday read, “…she died choking on her breakfast eggs, laughing at John Wilder’s blog.

I know you write about a lot of serious topics. Topics I think and worry about. The fact that you inject humor into them makes them slightly more bearable. Thanks for that.

  6. The economic chart seems way too high, especially since the econ numbers are being completely made up now. Are they subjective on your part or do they combine indicators or stock market values in some way? Processed food sections of the grocery store (a Krogers) are thinning. The cereal and frozen food aisles have holes, and cream cheese was nearly non-existent last week. I don’t need to mention the prices. Perhaps running out of Mr Pibb will be the catalyst that takes down the country.

History Teachers, 2327: “This country started with tea and ended with Mr Pibb. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?”

    1. It’s a homegrown mix. Also, keep in mind these numbers are January numbers. February is looking tougher.

  7. I am not as enthusiastic about the trucker thing, at least long term. They will make a ruckus, get some minor concessions and then go back to work because that is what we do. The other side will just start clamping down again, perhaps a little less aggressively than before, but the end result will be the same. It is still glorious to see, however we need to be realistic about it.

    1. Agreed.
It is still operating within the paradigm that we can vote our way out of this. Absolute best case scenario for them is that TPTB decide the juice isn’t worth the squeeze and relax the covid nonsense, but their goal remains the same so they’d just go to a less abrasive tactic. And still likely go back to covid at a future date, as when something works even a little bit the Left never lets it go, no matter how ridiculous it looks. e.g., global warming.

  8. It’s a winner takes all event. Unfortunately, too many don’t understand it’s not just local, or country wide. Those that control the finances won’t give up their power, and if it takes destroying half of mankind, they’ll do so without blinking an eye.

      1. re — destroying countries
        .
Again, I refer readers to SUPERMOB by Russo.
He documents the destruction of most of Latin America industry through unionization… and the moment equilibrium is established, the subsequent de-unionization.
        .
Can you imagine an entire country as a Jengo® game, an afternoon diversion from the tedium of tennis and gin-rummy?
        .
Millions dead, millions of lives destroyed, merely as an experiment in deliberately creating chaos to replace productive peaceful stability.
        .
        SUPERMOB…my highest recommendation.

  9. ” How serious is Justine Turdeau taking this? FIFY

As of Today afternoon the reporting in Ottawa is that the police are coming out in force but no activity. A claim was made the cops confiscated some of the jerry cans of fuel so people are carrying around empties.

  10. I suppose that if the truckers are removed from Ottawa (by force or persuasion), they can just as well make their point by leaving their rigs parked on their own property. A transport strike doesn’t have to happen at a specific location; it can happen everywhere. With central leadership, the leader can be co-opted into ending the strike. Without vulnerable leadership, it’s up to every owner-operator to check his own pantry to see how long he can go before getting another paycheck. You can bet that they can hold out longer than 90% of the residents of Ottawa, or New York City.

  11. John, I have made the argument for some years now that the United States is really not a nation state in the political geographic definition. It has essentially just become a land mass bound by economic ties and debt. There is really no common shared values, vision, or really shared anything. Let the economic part fall apart, and everything falls apart with it.

    1. The disappearance of government is a fantasy though, nothing is going to collapse short of a black swan event like a solar flare or Yellowstone eruption. We are no where near as bad off as the USSR, and they still lasted ~75 years. And they didn’t collapse, they just let a few ethnic republics break off while shuffling a few job titles in Moscow.

  12. For those counting on a turn-around, I have bad news. it will not turn around. It will get worse. Unless, as mentioned above, there is some Deus ex Machina event which totally and completely disrupts the Leviathan’s reach and control. The Orcs and Orcettes with badges and handguns or M-4s and Cammies will always have full rice bowls. Check out Venezuela. Who was NOT standing in line for TP, food, and other necessities: The Cops, the Armed Forces, and the monied elites. Plan accordingly. Bleib ubrig.

  13. Sir,
I would also point out that we know Justin gets his marching orders from Davos; not for nothing did he attend Schwab’s School for Leaders thingy. He is not alone in this.
If you are down with the WEF agenda, as well as UN21 and UN2030 and the NWO and all those things, then you are aware that these measures have been decades in the building. None of this has suddenly appeared; none of it is new. What is new is the light being shone upon them, the effect of which is interesting to observe. Minds are being freed every day, and this is hopeful.
Regardless, it seems extremely unlikely to me that all those years of planning, those uncountable billions of dollars, the generations of jerks that have toiled away to effect some great final objective wherein I will own nothing and be rather pleased about it…. will be suddenly given up because the truckers in Canada are pissed off.
Even as the narratives unravel and in fact collapse ‘neath the weight of their illogic, TPTB double down and edge closer to full retard. Canada has jammed a large wrench into something that was scheduled and timed; the machinery thereof is now in serious trouble and in need of repair, which with the amount of scrutiny being applied will consume further decades. This will not be ignored, and there is a good chance the west will tear itself apart as a new balance is found.
Buckle up. This is not the beginning of the end, but we are approaching the end of the beginning.
That is all. Have a nice day.

  14. John, some of the names I came up with for Justine, to use if you see fit.
Castrudeau the Bastardo Castrato ( I rather like that one if I do say so myself ) or just plain Fidel-Lite ( very very very Lite )
