American Civil War: Four Fates, From Freedom to Soviet Tyranny

“Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  No!” – Animal House

free.jpg

On this blog recently someone commented, “When I was a kid, people used to say that ‘It’s a free country,’ but they don’t say that anymore.”  I tried it out the other day.  The response?  “It hasn’t been a free country in a while.”  I turned him into the FBI for that kind of hate think.

I was driving in the middle of Midwestia in the middle of a quest that you’ll probably hear about on Wednesday.  One of the videos that was in my suggested list was about “America’s Cold Civil War.”  This isn’t a review of the video, but it brought up some interesting points.  The one I want to make clear to every single person that loves freedom in the United States is:  if you’ve ever seen a movie about that rag-tag elements of a group fighting a foe that has nearly utterly defeated them, it’s us.  We are the Wolverines.

wolverines.jpg

I get to be Charlie Sheen, mainly because he’s still alive.  I think.

I don’t mean to say that to create a feeling of defeat – far from it.  But the first step in dealing with a situation is understanding reality.  And reality is very simple today.  At a minimum, the Left has coopted the following elements of culture in the United States – they have been, over time, “converged” into Leftism:

  • The K-12 educational system.
  • Colleges and Universities.
  • Most Protestant religious organizations.
  • Most Catholic organizations.
  • The psychological establishment.
  • The American Medical Association.
  • All mainstream news media.
  • All mainstream entertainment media.
  • Most departments of the Federal government, absent the armed services.
  • The general officer corps of the armed services.
  • The courts.
  • Silicon Valley tech companies.
  • Many (but not all) Fortune® 500™ companies.

This isn’t an accident, it’s entirely by plan.  And not only by plan, it’s by a plan that was entirely shared.  From Verified Communist Traitor® Herbert Marcuse, in his book Counterrevolution and Revolt (bold added):

To extend the base of the student movement, Rudi Dutschke has proposed the strategy of the long march through the institutions:  working against the established institutions while working within them, but not simply by ‘boring from within’, rather by ‘doing the job’, learning (how to program and read computers, how to teach at all levels of education, how to use the mass media, how to organize production, how to recognize and eschew planned obsolescence, how to design, et cetera), and at the same time preserving one’s own consciousness in working with others.

I could prove all of the above Institutions have been converged through the Long March Through the Institutions and will probably discuss a few of these in the future, because I could do a post on each one.  Heck, maybe it would be a great book, but only if I could figure out how to pair hot chicks and communist propaganda.

roids.jpg

East German girl swimmers bench pressing 300 pounds in 1976 is completely normal.

But if you doubt me, you have Google® (itself converged) and you can easily verify list above even through the Leftist-bias that’s now on that search engine.  I’ll leave you with one more question:  why else would Fortune© 500® corporations sign a manifesto saying profits were less important than social goals if Leftists weren’t in control?  Because there were extra doughnuts in the breakroom and they were feeling generous?

In almost any context, these organizations reflect the values of the Left, not of the Right.  I specifically don’t use the label conservative here – the conservative movement has utterly failed in the United States (to quote absolutely everyone) to conserve anything.  We live a country where adults telling four year old boys that being a girl is okie-dokie (and vice-versa) aren’t thrown directly in prison for a decade or more (after a trial, of course) for child abuse.  The goals of the above organizations would be cause for mass revolt if they had been publicized in 1990, but now, despite no vote, no public acceptance, each point of the Left has been accepted as the new normal.

And telling a boy that he’s a girl?  Oh, wait, that’s brave.  Sorry.

Despite all of that, this is not a post about giving up.  Screw that.  Each day makes me more independent, not less, more wanting to tell the truth.

And if you’re reading this, no one is done here.  Freedom is always the underdog.  I really wish we’d just stop waiting until 2:00 in the fourth quarter to start playing.

I remember seeing a film in Social Studies in High School about the Korean War.  In the black and white film, almost all of Korea had been lost.  The film ended right at what is known as the Pusan Perimeter, right where the North Korean Army was about to kick freedom off of the Korean peninsula, forever.  It was tough watching that film.

But then we learned what happened next:  MacArthur led the naval invasion of Inchon and turned the tide of battle, leading a combined United Nations® force that cut off the North Koreans.  This turned the course of the war, and in the process helped to create the free country of South Korea that is a world leader in technology, bad music videos, and wealth creation today.

korea.jpg

Spoiler alert:  we tied.

Our Pusan Perimeter is now.  I had a great boss once upon a time, he would continually remind me, “John, start with the end in mind,” which is #2 of Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.  As I look at the state of the Right back in 2016, we were at the Pusan Perimeter.  As we as a nation blindly stumble toward Civil War II, I can’t predict the outcome, but I can see the full range of outcomes.

We’ll go from best case to worst case for people who love freedom.  Although there are variations, I think I’ve captured all of the big picture end games below.

I named operation Aesop after the Raconteur Report’s Aesop.  You can read him here (LINK).

Operation Aesop:  Total victory.

What it is:  The Right wins.  Traditional society is restored.  Mothers and fathers in committed relationships are again honored.  A Constitutional republic of limited government replaces the democracy of unlimited power.  The United States is unified.  Think of it as a return to the 1950’s, but with color TV and microwaves.

What it takes:  Oh, not much more than the bloodiest war in the history of the country.  The only way this results in victory is as Von Clausewitz wrote about in On War:   [Accomplishing . . . ] “three broad objectives, which between them cover everything:  destroying the enemy’s armed forces; occupying his country; and breaking his will to continue the struggle.”

That’s what happened in the first Civil War.  That’s what happened to the Germans and Japanese in World War II.  The concept of continuing was even more horrific than the concept of trying to continue to fight.  It’s total capitulation.  This is actual war until the enemy is not capable of continuing.  Not talking heads on a television show.  Not voting.  Not discussion.  Not a “mission accomplished” after five weeks moving across Iraq where the “will to continue the struggle” is still clearly intact.

Outcomes:  Some freedoms we see now would be curtailed.  Political discourse would be constrained.  But teenagers would be pretty polite, again.  And you wouldn’t really have to worry about the border.

constitution.jpg

I’m related to Patrick Henry, or so my aunt told me.  I like to imagine Patrick getting a bit tipsy and writing mean letters to Madison about how short Madison was and how Dolly might want to give up on the chew.

Operation Founding Fathers:  50 Independent States.

What it is:  A return to base principles.  Originally, the United States was conceived as just that, independent free States.  The majority of decisions to be made were to be made at the state, and not the Federal level.  Each state was to be free to make decisions.  Texas could be Texas.  California could be Venezuela.  Vermont could be stoned.  The free decisions of free States was allowed.  The free movement of free peoples was likewise allowed.  This is returning to that state.

What it takes:  Leftist thought is built around the universal adoption of their principles.  Individuals in society cannot be left to make decisions, so this is a hateful outcome to the Left.  I recall discussing politics with a Leftist when I was younger.  The Leftist thought I was on the Right.  That, at least they could deal with.  When I identified as a Libertarian®?  The look of disgust was clear – the Left hated Libertarians™ more than they hated the Right.  The Right was merely amused and not threatened by Libertarians©.  Maybe it was the Star Wars® shirts and poorly trimmed beards?

That taught me one thing:  the thing the Left hates the most is  . . . freedom.  Liberty.  In many ways the Left would rather lose a shooting war and be subjugated to the views of the Right than to be allowed to turn Seattle into the Siberia of the PacNorthwest.

The only way this can take place outside of warfare is a Second Constitutional Convention.  I think that alone would lead to a shooting war from the Left and a complete revolt from all of the Leftist institutions shown above.  But we can dream that the Second Constitutional Convention would turn out well.  If we did it, oh, in the next year.  The clock is ticking on this being a viable outcome.  It’s probably time to do it now.  As in, well, now.  Conservatives (not the Right) seem to feel that everything is going to come out fine, so until the wolf is at the door, I don’t think they’ll move an inch.

The problem is that Conservatives (again, not the Right) seem to think that the Left likes the Constitution.  Since the Left gained the institutions I’ve listed above, the Left doesn’t care about the Constitution – the Left cares about power.  Pure, unadulterated, 18 year old with a 12 pack of Coors Light™ behind the wheel of a 1969 Camero® power.

Outcomes:  In many ways this is the best outcome, but in my opinion the most unlikely.  This is the only outcome where we can still have the full freedom of political discourse and the full Bill of Rights.  I’d love to turn over freedom to choose to a California that can choke itself to death on Leftist feelgoodism while a Rightist Arizona can deny admission to every illegal and return them via a trebuchet if they want to.

sumter.jpg

I was expecting more girls in bikinis from Bruckheimer, but this is a good start.

Operation Fort Sumter:  Going our separate ways.

What it is:  Secession.  Splitting up.  It’s not you, it’s me Oregon.  The problem is that unlike in 1860, the dividing lines aren’t so clear.  Then there was a line which, if everyone agreed, would have been fine for a split.  The North could be the North, the South could be the South.  Oops.  Now it would be a county by county fight.

What it takes:  Just like a psycho ex-girlfriend, if the Right tried to succeed in Texas, the Left wouldn’t accept it, and would demand tanks on the banks Red River by morning, which would be hilarious because tanks don’t float.  Unless the secession were overwhelming in number of states, numbers of the armed forces, and nearly immediate, I see only a small path to a peaceful secession.  For secession to stick, the Left and Right would have to feel that conquering the other side was more costly than trying to forge a peace.

Outcomes:  If secession happened and was maintained, the United States would be irrevocably broken, unless it was re-stitched by a Caesar sequentially conquering the Balkanized United States.  Maybe Caesar Pugsley Wilder the First?

gulag.jpg

Think they need a reason to send you to the Gulag?  Sure they do!  It’s Monday – that’s good enough.

Operation Gulag in The Dakotas:

What it is:  This is the darkest timeline not only for our nation but for our world.  And, amazingly, the only timeline (outside of a Second Constitutional Convention) that we can vote ourselves into.  It is the Leftist takeover of everything.  Although it is sold as a Denmark, in reality Denmark is capitalist with stronger social institutions because Denmark is, well, Danish and I think they put mayo on their fries.  In the United States it will look much more like the U.S.S.R. – but not the basketcase 1988 U.S.S.R., but more like the 1932 “starve to death millions of citizens that Stalin doesn’t like” (In the World Murder Olympics, Communists Take Gold and Silver!) U.S.S.R.

What it takes:  Nothing.  We keep going as it is.  In less than 20 years, we will be in complete tyranny.  The erosion of rights we have seen won’t continue in a linear fashion.  It will accelerate.

Outcomes:  1984.

Now we know the stakes.

  1. Edit – secession, not succession. Stupid autocorrupt is stupid.

Notice that every one of these eventually ends up in megadeaths. #1 requires war, #2 devolves into war, #3 devolves into war, and #4 ends up in mountains of skulls and a boot stamping on a human face forever.

My best case is war to the knife, with the Right winning, and at least 90 million (up to 120 million) patriotic Americans left alive and in total control.

Splitting up just leads to war again later, with hostile foreign powers supporting our enemies directly. We Americans would be international pariahs, like 1980’s South Africa. The UN would strictly enforce arms embargoes on us, but not our enemies.

    1. Ricky, that surprises me. Tim has been quiet for forever, then, *poof*.

Yeah, we’re in a tough place.

  2. A Constitutional Convention could be a potential disaster for the Right.
It’s a gamble i’m not willing to take. The Commies would hijack it like an election. I would prefer to start hoisting the flag right now and skip any pleasantries.

    1. That’s been my worry for a while – I’m not sure you can limit the convention in scope, so at that point whatever happens, happens. I’m grasping at straws here to get a solution that keeps freedoms while removing coercion. I’m sure that the Founders would never have expected this dilemma.

      1. Oh, I think the founders did expect this dilemma, which is why we have a second amendment. We just haven’t got the balls to use it.

  3. “CW II” is already lost. What comes next is underground resistance against a Leviathan Central Government far more lethal and powerful than anything imagined by Huxley, Orwell, et al.

    Good luck, everyone!

    1. But the leviathan is very soft in the underbelly. Many don’t have the stomach for what’s coming.

    2. I’ve told my boys to in no way share their real opinions on the ‘net. Yeah. It’s a free country, right?

  4. The high school I went to my freshman year renamed itself by the time my little sister attended 3 years later. They took on Wolverines as the new mascot, based on Red Dawn. My children now attend this school but the knowledge of the mascot’s origin, like so much of our history, is lost for most. Here in the People’s Republic of Northern Virginia, they would be horrified and a name change would ensue. I’m not going to enlighten them.

  5. Sounds good. The reality, however will be very different. As cited in BOSTON’S GUN BIBLE, given the choice between freedom and sandwiches, people will choose sandwiches. There will be riots and disturbances by the Dindus, Drones, Antifa useful idiots, Infanticide advocates, and sexual deviates ad nauseum for the foreseeable future. The real kick-off will not start, IMHO, until there is a MAJOR economic “reset”. When there are not more Happy Meals, Nacho Cheese Doritos, Pepsi, and Mickey Big Mouth, watch out. The Blue Hives will explode. Use this interlude to keep prepping, planning, watching, and training. Bleib ubrig.

    1. I think that’s the most likely trigger – imagine if things were an economic mess now? Wow. What would Portland look like after an Antifa spasm?

      Blieb ubrig.

  6. A Constitutional republic of limited government replaces the democracy of unlimited power.

“Limited government” is fiction. The two actual choices are: either the individual is in charge, or they aren’t.

Some freedoms we see now would be curtailed.

That makes you part of the problem.

    Political discourse would be constrained.

“Political discourse”, which is to say organized crime planning for who forces innocent who to do what at gunpoint, needs to be abolished.

And you wouldn’t really have to worry about the border.

Because you’d have an iron curtain.

    A return to base principles.

Chattel slavery of non-whites and women, debt slavery of white males?

    Second Constitutional Convention

You’ve seen that parody of Schoolhouse Rock’s ‘I’m just a bill’, featuring a new constitutional amendment?

  7. “I’d love to turn over freedom to choose to a California that can choke itself to death on Leftist feelgoodism while a Rightist Arizona can deny admission to every illegal and return them via a trebuchet if they want to.”

The above comments are made from a barko-lounger-sitting, double-wide-dwelling, numb-skull living somewhere in flyover country who looks at all problems through a toilet paper tube and who does not get off his knees sniveling and praying to do anything of substance.

If you knew anything about California–you would realize that this is a state dominated by a majority of fools that live in mainly in two small geographic areas (LA County and Bay Area) –the rest of the state is wildly conservative. In fact there are more conservatives living in California than the entire population of his fly-over state.

California has been invades by illegals who live mainly in these small geographic areas (4.5 million of them) and many of them vote illegally and hold jobs here illegally. Conservatives are tyrannized by a majority population that dwell in the minority of the geographic land mass.

The numbskull in the flyover state will do absolutely nothing when the ‘spicy time comes’ because he will not leave his country and barely get his ass off of his barko-lounger, when the massive west coast struggles develop. The fight must be won in these left-coast states of you will be on the trains to the gulags no matter how much you sing ‘El Shadai’ and snivel and pray as you are being loaded onto the boxcars.

I suggest the OP get his mind right by watching the entire series of videos made by John Mark…

    1. >The above comments are made from a barko-lounger-sitting, double-wide-dwelling, numb-skull living somewhere in flyover country who looks at all problems through a toilet paper tube and who does not get off his knees sniveling and praying to do anything of substance.<

Please enlighten us, since you have it all figured out, what exactly are you doing "of substance"? Posting comments on the internet and watching Youtube videos doesn't count.

    2. Says the guy who couldn’t make it to the DSR to meet f2f because there was no public land to camp on which is bullshit because quite a few people did…You are no better than those who you berate even though I agree with some of what you say…

    3. Thanks for the video. I will be watching his content; he has a good solid grasp of objective reality. You make some valid points in the rest of your post. You might try not being a total douchebag about it. Just a thought…

  8. seceding won’t work. The simple fact is a Leftist will ALWAYS blame the other side for their economic stupidity. The Soviets did. The east Germans did. And the Leftist America will too. All you create out of that is Bloody Kansas with microwaves.

There is another factor/option. The dollar becomes worthless to the point the only way the Feds can get toilet paper is to call the Treasury and have them run off another billion $100s. The States react by creating their own coin. (Texas is already well on the way to this already.) The Fed unable to make payroll forces its couture of minions to drift off looking for other employment. An FDR like solution won’t work because everyone one in the world will treat a USD bill like Confederate currency.

So how does this help freedom? Jack Boots have to eat too. Laws are useless without enforcement. “Madison has ruled, now let him enforce it!” so the quote goes from Jackson. (not true by the way but is appropriate). DoJ is no longer staffed. FBI can’t get applicants. The entire Fed infrastructure begins to crumble. The Feds, aka The Left, single point of failure is a collapsing USD. The plus? The Left is all willing to crater the USD; just look at the Green New Deal. Its a induced crash in waiting if implemented.

  9. Resources contract. The long term trend is decentralization to reflect that. Centralization requires surplus. Conflict is guaranteed. As is separation/Balkanization. Plan your relocation with this in mind. You don’t have enough wheat, ammo or popcorn to enjoy the show.

  10. It is hard to predict what is going to happen because we tend to try to use historical examples as a guide. Maybe it will be like the collapse of the Soviet Union? Or the Balkans? Maybe the fall of the Roman Empire. What about the American Civil War/War of Northern Aggression depending on where you grew up? All of these examples fall short because America 2019 is so different from any of those examples, even the America of the 1860s. This is a country with at least 330 million people spread out over almost 3 million square miles, essentially ruled by a relatively small number of people in a handful of coastal urban locations.

The situation on the ground is that we are about to, if we aren’t already, going to have a nation of minorities including white Americans. Most of those different tribes have been taught formally and informally to hate white Americans and many of them have learned from experience to hate all of the other tribes. Mestizos and blacks don’t like each other at all but their hatred of the white oppressor keeps it in check. White Americans keep this country going, from keeping the lights on and the sewers flowing to funding the Federal beast with tax dollars. As the balance shifts from producers to takers, from those that sow and to those that reap, that is going to cause a major problem. As I have said, I think this happens in the next decade as the shift accelerates and the major social programs go bankrupt.

The other difference is that there has never been a civilian population in history that is this heavily armed and filled with former professionally trained fighters, former LEOs and military. Even your most ardent gun control “liberal” has no idea what is going on in this country with firearms purchases, ammo being delivered in bulk right to your door and the increasing ability to manufacture your own unregistered firearms at home. I would love to see what a single day of shipping at Bud’s Gun shop looks like, it would make a New York liberal head for the fainting couch. My wife and I were looking the other day at a place offering Chinese SKS rifles by the *crate*. 20 semi-auto rifles delivered to your local FFL, and you can get 20, 30 or even 75 round drum mags for them.

There is no way that absent some sort of serious conflict that the Left will let us go our own way, they depend on us for food, manufacturing, infrastructure, taxes and above all as a villain. The U.S. as a constitutional Republic is lost, the goal now is to survive long enough to rebuild and make certain we don’t make the same mistakes the next time.

    1. Don’t buy the chinese ones they are known to have problems…Also my comments on your site must be heading to your spam box because they aren’t posting…

    2. Palmetto state armory is know to ship 3,000 AR-15s per week. thats not counting uppers/lowers etc.

      1. God bless ’em. And I need a new upper for an Olympic that seems to spit out .223 sideways. Weirdest target paper I’ve ever seen.

  11. My new admonition to those who should think & plan ahead: “Troubled times tempt tyranny”.

Facile, yes, but the point is to get the sheeple thinking that tomorrow may actually be different than yesterday, and not in a positive way, either.

As many of the Comments mention, overcoming the propagandization of the sheeple and kicking them into action requires a shock of significant magnitude (like Pearl Harbor was or what 9-11 could have been if Geo W. had told the truth about Moslem beliefs…) that reality then becomes apparent; stark, harsh, foreboding, threatening, and immediate.

Thinking is hard. Re-thinking such that one replaces what he/she thought was true with new updated facts/truths is damned near impossible. Only by the cold hard bare facts will the sheeple awaken. Like others commenting here, IMHO, such will not happen without there first being a severe economic calamity or disaster/EMP/CME/Pandemic(like ebola?).

John, like you, I see no peaceful way out. The Communists (DemonicRats”) smell blood and will not give an inch or even 2.2 centimeters……

There is no way of voting our way out of this (TINWOVOWOOT). Bad times approach.

    1. So I have a question to all of you here if you really believe all that you espouse then you realize that it’s up to you and you only to make something better for yourself in terms of preparation and survivability and start banding together with other that are awake and start building Communities instead of staying where you are at where there is no one and hoping for the best and harping at others online that they aren’t doing anything…You guys are a bunch of whiners but don’t want to actually do anything…Sad That…

    2. Well said. The only (and I mean only) way we vote ourselves out of this is a Constitutional Convention. And that would need to be taken in the next year.

      Voting is not our friend.

Of topic – I always like seeing your comments.

  12. The Communist have won. We lost twenty years ago. There IS NO peaceful way out. ONLY civil war can save us now. Everything else is a “conservative” fantasy. We should have started killing the day that Clinton ordered the attack on Waco. But we waited for Blond Jesus to ride down out of the clouds on winged Pegasus, swinging a big sword. We have ONE; and ONLY one choice. Surrender our guns and get on the train to the reeducation camp. OR kill every living thing on the left. That’s it. There is no other way and hasn’t been for more than a generation. Fight or give up. The constitution is dead. Voting is meaningless, and if you don’t quit waiting for permission, you can teach your children to knap flint. It will be the only weapon left to them. The shooting war has already started. You just aren’t seeing it on FOX or CNN. Die on your feet or die kneeling. NO ONE is coming to save you. The left intends to kill us all. Do you intend to die without a fight?

    1. So you building an army or are you going to be Rambo…I’m guessing you are doing nothing and will do nothing besides shitposting online…Sad That…

      1. Thank you Mr . @ “Lineman”(1) coward or (2) federal disinformation agent BFYTW. What I do is my lookout. What you do is nothing of any value at all. Just remember. After Stalin had the NKVD kill all of the Polish army in Russian custody at a place called Katyen (spell?). He had all the NKVD men shot, who did the deed. Once the federals are done with you they will send you to the pit with everyone else. Fool. and you are a fool. School yard name calling BS is no longer of any worth in the real war. Fight or see your loved ones become communist toy’s, if they are lucky. I need no permissions or approval to say and thing what I will. AND. I take it then that when the Jackbooted Nazi Scum come for your guns . You will be one of the masked men leading the pig’s from door to door pointing out who to murder, and begging them to rape and murder the other peoples children instead of yours? That’s what “men” like you do under pressure.

        1. Your a fool and you don’t know Jack Shit but if you would like to meet f2f I would be happy to accommodate you…How about it tough guy I’m guessing you will just come back with more online tough talk…Sad That…

        2. Ahh Ray your mind must of been addled by cancer because your talking like you have dementia…You just ramble over and over and accuse anyone who calls you out on your stupidity as a Fed…You need help professionally…

          1. Sorry (as I have never seen your handle before I wonder how you know so much..) No “red flag” in my state. Also I see more MD’s a week than you do in a life time. I have been fighting Cancer for 12 years. I also live with a health care provider. IF I had a problem, Well I have at least 40 Doctors who will testify that I don’t…..Oh! and I’ll bet my mental health is cleaner than yours. Also be careful what landmines you step on when you play games with your betters. I know 90% of the cops around here. Most of them agree with me. I live in an all white, hard core “republican” county (>1% DEM.) ,in the furthest right state in the US. AND…—- You like to bully people into shutting up. You hate free speech. It must drive you nuts that I don’t care about fecal matter like you, Buttfat ,or Attfat or whatever name you use this week. Well communist. I’m done with you. No one respects you. You have nothing good or truthful to say. You can’t do much but babble your childish school yard intimidation’s. and unhelpful negative comments. Jannay, worthless looser.

          2. You seenhave never my handle but I’ve talked with you before on WRSA and Aesop’s site and even on here see what I mean about losing your mind or you are quite a few different government trolls who can’t keep your stories straight…You’re a bitter old man who is a joke and you haven’t met anyone online(which I’ve met several) because you’re scared of your own shadow…Sad That..

          3. @ Lineman You need to pull your head in and stop trying to encourage others to commit acts of violence. IF that is your want, you do it. If that’s your job (encouraging violence) then for shame, get a job that doesn’t hurt others

          4. @Peter
You need to pull your head out of your ass because I didn’t say anywhere too commit violence…

          5. I guess when you’re not intelligent enough to make a cogent argument, you just rely on schoolyard ad hominem.

But firstly, show me where evil dictators only operated in socialist countries, can you manage that?

  13. Regarding the oft-cited reticence on our part to start the festivities: we all know we won the birth lottery by being born here, vestigial as those benefits may now be. We all also know that once the shit starts in earnest, the wealth and lifestyle available here wont be seen again for several generations, perhaps never again. Who wants to be the one to start that? Better be sure.

Events, and especially the pace of events, are convincing more of us. It’s a process. The older ones among us (like me) have seen massive changes and have the best perspective. Many of us, myself included, have tried to wake people up over the past 30 years to no avail. Events are now waking people up with no intervention on my part at all. The commies are out of the closet. I am very glad.

I grew tired of waiting a lomg time ago.

    1. There are days I feel like I’m holding a lantern up. There are days it grows brighter. I’m thankful for that.

  14. A couple points:
Owning all the institutions looks good, until the economic crash happens. When it does, institutions will become a lot less important, and who eats will depend a lot more on who ends up armed and who ends up with expertise. No doubt a gun confiscation scheme will be cooked up, which will cause a lot of politicians and opinion-shapers to be killed off.

I don’t know, I just don’t see the leftists as being in such a wonderful position. It’s great now, while war has not yet started. I just don’t think it will look so good for them in the completely different environment of civil war.

    1. I hope you’re right, but everything I’ve seen indicates that tyranny is better organized than liberty. We need to dismantle and de-fund every bit of American society to remove them. Every bit.

  15. 3000 ar-15s per week JUST from palmetto state armory??? How many preppers had their guns confiscated when Katrina flooded New Orleans? (hint: being prepared *probably* included NOT purchasing a home in a flood prone area???)

What is going to “flip the switch”???

I believe X-military (or maybe select active-duty, or some combined mix of both) will go rogue and “HIT” the blue hives: bridges, power lines, utilities… A LOT of collateral casualties will occur (how many times has it been said “avoid crowds”) but a lot of “cleaning house” will happen also. A military coup will be announced by leadership that will state: “the switch was flipped” and “we have taken action to support and defend…”

Expect EMPs to take out the internet to prevent the leftist media from spreading misinformation. The entire military reserves will be activated to help restore order.

And the new continental convention will be called, but after “enemies of the constitution” have been identified and summarily executed. Also, in the future, conviction as an enemy of the constitution will be a mandatory death sentence, carried out each year on July 3rd.

    shall I continue?

  16. @ “Linemam”You keep saying “Sad” like you care… Only ,I don’t think that you would care even if you could. You are like most bully’s. You like to hurt things. That is because you have no ability to feel anything, It is why you have nothing good to say. and FYI I don’t care what you think. I just enjoy letting the whole world see the real you. Evil. vile, coward that you are. Always negative ,hiding in the shadows . Behind a phony name and the protection of internet anonymity. I don’t believe you have the slightest idea what real fear is. Fear is normal and healthy, and it can be overcome. But you wouldn’t know anything about that ether. Oh YES I know fear, and pain. In ways you never will. I just didn’t let them make me like you. Bitter, twisted, evil worm that you have made of yourself. . The world can be a better place. At least the part you are in at the time. Too bad you hate it so much, that you do all that you can to make it worse. You should look up the term “Projection” Now I think I have had enough fun with you. BTW After you get coded the second time and have your sixth major surgery. Have done Chemo and radiation more than twice and been told you have only weeks to live. Then spend the day in the waiting room of the pediatric oncology clinic to try an experimental drug. Go on Thursday, That’s the day they treat the end stage kids. It looks like the waiting room to hell. You can’t miss it. You come right back after that and tell me all about fear and pain. I would be interested in seeing if you learned anything. Right now you don’t seem to know much about ether.. But do stop by. They sit next to me all day and at the edge of my bed all night. Come by if you want to meet them. I can tell you that they make uncomfortable house gests. Now what were you trying to scare me with child? To Quote “Platoon” Death? What do YOU know about death? HAHAHAHA

  17. Excellent, thought-provoking article.

I don’t think option 1 (Operation Aesop: Total Victory) is a good one. The only way the Right can “win” is virtual annihilation of the Left. The Left is never going to change their minds or make peace with the Right. The Right would have to kill virtually all of the Left to “win”, and if that happened obviously a lot of the Right would perish also. In fact the Right could end up being the ones that got annihilated, and the Left could “win”. But regardless of who “wins”, it would be a terribly destructive war, and while we were fighting with each other we would be easy pickings for a foreign enemy such as China, so we could all end up losing.

Option 2 (Operation Founding Fathers: 50 Independent States) is a step in the right direction, but it wouldn’t work either. A Second Constitutional Convention will probably cause more problems than it would solve, even if we could get the requisite number of states to agree to anything, which is highly unlikely. And even if we could get the states to agree to anything, what guarantee do we have that it will be an improvement over the current situation? Even if we get back to something similar to the original intent of the Constitution (such as repealing the 17th Amendment) what will that accomplish? It is the original Constitution that allowed us to get to where we are now in the first place. The federal government will continue to ignore the Constitution just as they do now. We would have to get back to something similar to the original Articles of Confederation. However we still wouldn’t be able to get the requisite number of states to agree to that, unless we redefined the borders of most of the states (see following paragraph). But if we did that then we would be most of the way to implementing the option described in the next paragraph, so we should just do that.

Option 3 (Operation Fort Sumter: Going our separate ways) is the ideal solution. However, as you indicated in the article, “unlike in 1860, the dividing lines aren’t so clear”. The only way this option will work is to make clearer dividing lines. The existing state borders are virtually worthless. Except for a handful of states such as Oklahoma and Massachusetts, none of the states are homogeneous enough to have any chance at having a unified allegiance to the Left or the Right. So the borders will have to be redrawn. I have outlined how this could be done in an article that was posted at The Burning Platform last December (link below).

Option 4 (Operation Gulag in The Dakotas). The is the probable outcome because, as you said, this is the default option that we will arrive at if we simply maintain the status quo, and maintaining the status quo is exactly what most people on both the Left and Right are intent on doing. The Left know that after Trump leaves office he will be replaced with a Democrat, and the Congress will be majority Democrat from here on because of demographic changes (due mainly to immigration) and election fraud by the Democrats. They also aren’t too concerned about the Supreme Court, because they are smart enough to know (unlike Trump) that they can just ignore any Supreme Court decisions that they don’t like. The only possible consequence of ignoring the Supreme Court is impeachment, and that won’t happen with a Democrat majority in the House, which is going to be the case from now on indefinitely. Most on the Right also seem intent on maintaining the status quo. They seem intent to mainly complain on talk radio, blogs and social media about how much they hate the Left, but they never have any solutions other than vague ideas about killing them all in a civil war, or voting our way to victory (which will never happen), or hoping that Trump will appoint another conservative to the Supreme Court (which wouldn’t do any good as I indicated previously). In fact I get the distinct impression that a lot of them enjoy complaining about the Left so much that they would be disappointed if they didn’t have the Left around anymore to complain about.

    1. That’s a great post.

I won’t give up, not while there is breath in my body. Why?

I have kids. I’m done living for them, but now live for the future, a future I’ll never see. It’s that simple. I agree – number four is the most likely, but the least free.

      David, we can stop it.

    2. David Erickson,

      “…thought-provoking…”?

      But not ‘action-provoking’?

      1. There isn’t going to be any action until TSHTF. As I stated in my comment, both the Left and the Right are content with the status quo. But there will be plenty of action when TSHTF. The problem though is that it will be very messy, and the outcome will be unpredictable, but the end result will probably be a much worse situation than we are in today.

All anyone can do is prepare mentally and physically for trouble ahead, and expect a wild ride. You can also do as I do at every chance I get, which is advocate (on blogs, social media, etc.) for the only solution that has any chance of a constructive solution to our current problems (option 3), but that is a mostly futile exercise. Unless and until a significant number of people figure out that that is the only solution, and start advocating for that solution, there is no chance whatsoever that we can realize that solution.

        1. Unless and until a significant number of people figure out that that is the only solution, and start advocating for that solution, there is no chance whatsoever that we can realize that solution…

Or those who do know that already start banding together in areas that are conducive to that and that way more people will be awaked because they will see the benefits of doing so but that requires action other than on the keyboard so it probably won’t happen but if you actually want to do something you can always join me and the Community I’m building here in the Bitterroot Valley of MT…

          1. That type of activity qualifies as “prepare mentally and physically for trouble ahead”, and is definitely a good thing to do for those who have the opportunity. If things get much worse I may do something similar, so thanks for the invitation.

          2. Well hopefully when it gets worse you will still have the opportunity to do that…It all depends I guess on how fast it gets worse… Better 10 years to early than one day to late especially if you have family you are responsible for…Also everyone makes their own opportunities so don’t let that stand in your way…

    3. The divide is an industry – the Left had ANWAR, the Right had abortion. The Left gave up on ANWAR now that nobody wants to drill there. The idea of actual change scares the pants of most of official Washington.

  18. There’s another choice for individuals who are too old and infirmed like myself to make any contribution to helping to free the country and that is just simply to leave. I’ve looked over the available choices and Paraguay is the best choice for me with Chile and Panama as the second and third choices. One of the reasons is guns. Paraguay has one of the most pro-gun set of laws your ever going to find in South America.

    1. Let me add to my previous comment. Here are two Youtube videos about Paraguay firearms “Firearm freedom outside the United States?” and “Paraguay- Land of opportunity”. For more information.
