It Takes A Village To Raise Darrell Brooks

“You are not on trial for being a dwarf.” – Game of Thrones

I bet if I did a video about that, it would never get more than 665 likes.  Oh, and all memes today are “as-found”.

As I noted in the last post, The Mrs. and I have been listening to the trial of Darrell Brooks, the alleged murderer of six and injurer of 60 when he drove an SUV through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  It is, in one sense, informative.

Brooks is defending himself.  So, the judge in the case is going slowly, and making every accommodation possible.  For non-lawyers like The Mrs. and me, it’s a quick tutorial on the “how and why” the justice system works.  To watch Brooks defending himself, is, well, cringe-inducing.  But the judge very calmly and very patiently explains the procedures to the petulant child who never grew up and seems offended that the system would even consider locking up such a wonderful person such as him.

During the trial, one thing that The Mrs. and I have noted is that every single point is an argument with him.  Every.  Single.  Point.  He objects to every question the prosecution asks – I think his objection count is over 1,000 now.

This is the meme I found that best describes Mr. Brooks’ relationship with the legal system.

When the prosecution team asked to skip a portion of a video, he objected.  “Show the whole thing,” was his response.  Showing the whole thing, in this case, would allow the jury to hear his long litany of felony offenses, which included sexual contact with minors (felony), trying to run someone over (he was out on $1,000 bail when he drove the SUV through the parade), (shooting at people, out on $7,500 bail) and many others.  His arrest and conviction record is so long and convoluted, I’m sure I’ve got some inaccuracies and omissions above, but it doesn’t matter.

Darrell Brooks is a dirtbag.

And he’s been committing felony after felony for twenty years.  Lose your right to own a gun after getting a felony?  I don’t see how that’s relevant if Darrell can get arrested for SHOOTING AT PEOPLE AS A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A GUN and be out and about on bail.

Twenty years.

Now six people are dead, and dozens of people have been injured, some with multiple surgeries.

And only now do we take it seriously.

This trial gives me vision problems.  I don’t see Brooks not being guilty.

When I was in high school, I was the editor of the school paper.  It was a glamorous job, and our April Fools edition was amazeballs, you can bet, and my goofy horoscope page was (seriously) the most read part of the paper.  But I actually got some state-level awards for editorials, too.  One of them was about rules.

This was the phase of scholastic America where rule after rule was being added, and the phrase, “zero-tolerance” was being added to everything, because memes hadn’t been invented yet.  To summarize my editorial, “Keep it simple, have a few rules that are actually necessary, and enforce the hell out of those.”

I stand by that.  Darrell Brooks could have benefited from it.  This week I wrote about pathological altruism – the idea that being kind was actually cruel.  Darrell Brooks is the poster child for that.  In his actions as his own retard-level defense attorney, Brooks shows that he actually thinks that some of his arguments (the first witness he called for his defense was “The State of Wisconsin” – seriously) are going to keep him from being locked up until the Sun is a cold, dead cinder in the sky.

Maybe his motto was “it takes a village idiot to raise children”?

They won’t.  The system let him do crime after crime after crime with little to no punishment or consequences to his actions.  He thinks this is the same.  The only actual time I saw any emotion out of him was during the point in the trial where he gave his opening statement for his defense.  “You have to understand, there are two sides to every story.”  This is true.  One side is that there are the Waukesha Dancing Grannies being run over by Darrell Brooks, and the other is . . . Darrell Brooks didn’t get his way.

At no point has he shown even the slightest sign of remorse.  He is, I am sure, in his mind the victim of an unfair and “biast” (his word, not mine) conspiracy between the prosecutor and the judge.  What world created the mindset in a person that they could drive an SUV through a parade and be a victim?

Ours did.

The solution for parents is obvious – the system as it exists is so corrupt that you really cannot count at all on any external help in creating children that turn into virtuous adults.  When Hillary Clinton “wrote” her book It Takes a Village (to raise a child), Darrell Brooks was that child.  This is the result of parental dereliction of duty.  Sure, there are some kids that are just bad.  Heck, even when I was growing up, I recall one set of parents who legally disowned their sixteen-year-old because they couldn’t manage him.  But most of the issues can be contained with a unified parental front.

January 6th gets a Congressional investigation.  Jeffrey Epstein dying gets a collective sigh of relief from Congress.

It doesn’t take a village.  It takes parents.  It takes them intervening early and often and many times with terrible wrath because there is no help from the schools.  Kid failing?  They’ll pass the kid anyway – holding a kid back is not allowed, even in Modern Mayberry.  The judicial system is (at this point) so unrelated to actual justice that it deters essentially only people who are unlikely ever to become criminals from committing crimes.

I think that in any possible universe, Darrell Brooks was going to be a dirtbag who is absolutely unaware of anything existing but him and his feelings.  But, maybe, just maybe, his parents working to raise a decent human being could have stopped it.

Or maybe a judicial system that actually functioned.

I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing ‘til they got ahold of me . . .

This status cannot and will not stand, since society is actively breaking down at a rapid pace.  Is this intentional?  The results are clear, and people like Soros keep funding (to the tune of tens of millions of dollars) the election of Woke district attorneys that refuse to prosecute favored groups, encouraging crime, and encouraging the inevitable backlash.

So, yeah, it’s intentional.

And my horoscope for Darrell Brooks?  Don’t make any plans for the next six or so lifetimes.

  1. “The tender mercies of the wicked are cruel” let that one sink in and marinate in your mind.

    1. It will be interesting to see a rationally run Justice Department filing kidnapping charges against agents of the State of California when this actually starts to happen.

    2. This is the natural consequence of removing the parents, step by step, from responsibility. And who likes that? Oh, wait . . . the Left.

  2. I was a teacher for over 25 years; in that time, I taught maybe 3,000 kids (it was an era of very crowded classes). I cannot remember more than a handful of kids with that level of entitlement – and, ALL of them had ridiculously permissive parents.
Most of the “could go either way kids” were still a whole light year ahead of their parents. Some of them essentially parented their birth figures (can’t call them parents, they were woefully deliquent in that task).
Overwhelmingly, the former students I ran into had straightened up by their mid-20s or so. Life events, such as the need to earn a living, parenthood, responsibility for taking care of sisters/brothers, contributed to their belated maturity.
The guy must be trying to ‘prove’ himself insane, and thereby escape the consequences of his actions. Lotsa luck with that.

    1. No, he’s not trying to prove himself insane. He’s black. He’s stupid. He’s a thug. This describes an enormous percentage of black men, and not a few black women. They have no compassion, no empathy at all. They don’t care about the future, they only live in The Now. The past serves only as a source of grudges and complaints. They are constantly “living their best life”, as the Left calls hedonism. This is just how they act all the time. (Note: I used to live in Bodymore, Murderland, and worked in Mordor on the Potomac. I have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a good memory.)

Do you remember when crime went down in the 1990’s? Do you remember why? I do. It happened due to vigorous prosecutions and “three strikes” laws. By around 2000, one in three black men were in prison for felonies. Note that over 95% of all convictions come from plea bargains, where the villain confesses to a lesser charge than the crime he actually committed. So let’s not pretend that most of these men weren’t violent thugs, just because that’s not what they confessed to.

And just to grind the truth in a little harder, the average black shooting victim is a known gang member with at least 10 prior arrests. The average black shooter is a known gang member with at least 20 prior arrests. Leftist judges, prosecutors, and law makers keep letting them off to continue to terrorize society. Ask yourself why this is so, and who benefits.

    2. No, he’s passed at least four tests to prove he’s sane. At this point in his life, though, he’s been held to account for nothing. Nothing at all. The Mrs. and I were talking and hoped he had a very, very, long life and each day was a new misery.

    1. “It takes a village to raise an orphan. It takes an Infantry Platoon to RAZE that village.”

Makes me wonder how long before people lose all faith in the “criminal justice system?”

      1. I think he’ll be convicted. And probably prison will be hell for him (I hope). But I think that (in the large cities) the faith is gone, and I’m thinking that it’s not long before people just solve problems themselves.

  3. “…witness…the State of Wisconsin.”

Not to mention his repeated reference to “the plaintiff” in a criminal case. As it is said, only an idiot acts as his own counsel. This certainly proves the case, unless he’s trying to prove insanity. Makes one think, doesn’t it?

    1. Or maybe he knows his goose is cooked, and just wants to drag it out for the lulz?

I think not, though. When he initially thought he was a legal genius because the prosecutor wasn’t crossing his witnesses, it slowly dawned in his feeble mind that maybe, just maybe, that meant he was doing their job for them.

  4. I don’t know what to say. Our culture is summed up by watching people futzing with their
phones and being oblivious to reality. I, for one, do not want to be summoned by a ringing
or buzzing phone 24/7. So…no phone. Crooks buying judges? Killer vax? Corruption
through the roof and into space? That describes a few aspects of our new reality/OR, our
newly discovered reality today. No thanks, see ya later, I am out of here.

    Love you Wilder,
    appreciate you immensely,
    Suzanna

    1. Back at ya, Suzanna!

Yes, our culture has turned inward, and narcissism is the new god that so many worship. Thankfully, I have PEZ.

  5. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (i.e. before the Mrs. and I piled up college degrees and hit the White privilege lottery) we lived rough in a quite, ahem, diverse neighborhood. The kid next door was a holy terror, and from our first day living there gave us, and the rest of the neighborhood, fits. His single mother was confronted time and again by his numerous victims, and her righteous indignation was just textbook entitlement.

“Is it my fault that my kid’s a brat?!?” she used to screech in her own defense.

Well, duh, b***h! We certainly didn’t fit the little turd with an extra Y chromosome and a sub-zero IQ. That was all you and your sperm donor.

It always irks me when some bleeding heart liberal, almost universally a woman, insists that everyone has some redeeming qualities. No, no and no again. No proponent of tabula rasa am I. Some people are just naturally stone evil, utterly incorrigible and patently irredeemable. Would that it were not so, but there it is. That a fair whack of the sinvergüenza happen to be non-White is just an inescapable fact that has become the ultimate taboo and a truth which must never be spoken.

Lord only knows what Darrell Brooks is costing we the taxpayers for his amusing little charade. Chances are, he knows full well that he is doomed, but even so, he wishes to be a PIA right to the bitter end. Pity his poor future cellmates.

    1. It was a victim, raising a victim, and had the genes of a victim. I agree on the “not a blank slate” view of life – about (and this is a maximum) of 30% of any person is environmental. You can’t wish a chihuahua to be a basset hound.

How long do you think that attitude will last in prison? Not very long. Plus, he’s like 5’8″ and 130. More like being attacked by a Smurf.

  6. but even so, he wishes to be a PIA right to the bitter end. Pity his poor future cellmates.

Considering what we hear about those prisons, his cellmates might be a pain right to his bitter end.

  7. Meh. Wisconsin gets what it deserves. Not nearly so funny when their toothless banjo-playing kids (or ghetto-rapping dropouts, take your pick) don’t all move to Califrutopia, is it, cheeseheads?

If we had a justice system, instead of a legal system, the citizenry would storm the court, drag the defendant out by the genitals, chain his limbs to four pickup trucks, disembowel him, pull him apart bodily with the pickups while he was yet still living, put his severed head atop the courthouse flagpole, and send his other quarters to the four corners of the state, as a warning to other miscreants. If he had any last words, he would be allowed to offer them up prior to execution of sentence only after the insertion of a red hot coal into his mouth.

Anyone interfering or attempting to in that sentencing would get to go next, until all contestants were properly sorted out.

But I’m a romantic where true justice is concerned.

His offense would also be the last such incident on record in that state for a lifetime, and his example would be used by parents to frighten children into obedience for a century or more.

    1. “If we had a justice system, instead of a legal system, the citizenry would storm the court, drag the defendant JUDGES AND LAWYERS out by the genitals, chain his Their limbs to four pickup trucks, disembowel him Them, pull him Them apart bodily with the pickups while he was They were yet still living, put his Their severed head(s) atop the courthouse flagpole, and send his Their other quarters to the four corners of the state, as a warning to other miscreants.”

      And THEN? Head ta d.c.

      FIFY, Not a problem!

P.S. Seems Kinda melodramatic, ‘OverKill’ even. Time Is Money, among other things.

Quicker the better, if THAT’s Your thing.

Personally? NO NEED ta be excessive! The ones too elderly ta patch Potholes/Pickup Trash?

      Rotating ‘Greeters’ @ walmart, Etc.

      1. Anon, the hell with DC. If the citizens were to take back a state in a serious fashion the federal government could do nothing without sending in troops. I suspect that even a seriously progressive President would hesitate before going that far.

        1. Hello Calvin,

Checked Out/Bookmarked Your blog. Cursory glance around. Always like ta get a ‘Feel’ for Others.

Naval/Nuclear? Looong Story, ASVAB i think it is/was called. Had the T-shirt…”Travel to exciting distant lands. Meet exotic foreign people. And KILL them.”…or something like that.

myself? ‘Ranger’ material, or so i felt…ultimately ‘Mercenary’. Rhodesia was a Thing at that time as well, SOF Magazine, Etc. Late 70’s – early 80’s. But the ‘Military’ felt i would be “wasting potential”. Suggested Nuclear Propulsion School, or something like that.

          462 Inductees? THAT day.
2 of us were left, Late Afternoon, when we were informed that the Drs. ONLY do 460/day. The other guy wouldn’t change his ‘Ranger’ aspirations. Either. Smoked some of the BEST Pot to date inbound w/Recruiter, Gave me a Nice Bud when he dropped me off at home. Encouraged me to ‘Reconsider’ What i wanted. Sage Advice.

Became a Farmer. we made it to #3 in High Times© in 2 short Yrs. Can’t really remember much else!

Certainly showed ’em that they SEVERELY underestimated my potential to ‘Waste’…pretty much everything.

Sorry ’bout the ‘Anon’ thing, been a few and i clearly need retraining! AND i forgot completely that i can’t Strike Through WITHOUT retyping the words. Prolly missing something there. Too. AND i didn’t enter my ‘name’, so apparently NO gracious 5 min. ‘Edit’ time afforded?

‘anon also’? Arbitrary and Capricious. Because, in Reality, Pointless. ‘Cause…

No Biggie, wouldn’t say online what i wouldn’t say to Your Face.

          State-Level ‘Insurrection’?

Realistically, Can Not ‘See’ that happening. At All. Nor At ANY Level. Currently.

i did go so far as to REMOVE my name from the ‘Eligible Voter’ list, my state now draws EXCLUSIVELY from the DMV for “Jury Duty”.

Longer Story. ACTIVELY involved in politics for quite some time. TOTAL Waste of Time ‘There’ for CERTAIN.

And to think, i spent soooo Much time learning how ta spell NULLIFICATION!
Finally! “Called” ta do my “Civic Duty”. And then…The Scam/[Plandemic hit locally.

          Hope springs Eternal.

As a brief aside…Waiting in line at the DMV to MAKE CERTAIN that a vehicle i had sold would no longer be associated w/my name. A Lady with one obviously artificial leg came in behind me. Of Course, i had her get ahead of me in the line.

Listening to the grilling the OBVIOUS AMERICANS were receiving,… “A Notarized Birth Certificate, 2 Bills, preferably one from a Local Utility, verifying you current address,” etc….and then it was this poor Soul’s turn. Coming from out of State. Please.

          i could TAKE NO MORE!

‘Ma’am? i would be more than HAPPY to take YOU to walmart®, buy You the DARKEST Spray-Tan-in-a-can that we can find. Buy pasteboard and a Sharpie™, and make you a sign that said ‘Swahili Only’ on it…YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY!’

Even The Ladies working the windows laughed. Were very accommodating towards #metoo.

HOWEVER, Anything IS possible. Time will tell, but i’m kinda leanin’ to ‘Biblical’. Totally.

          Thanks for the input!

    2. So, here’s one I heard:
      Final day of trial:
Judge: “Mr. Brooks. I have considered your argument that you are not bound by the laws of Wisconsin, and found merit. Please note that since you are not bound by the laws of Wisconsin, that anything a citizen of Wisconsin does to you will not be considered a crime. You are free to go and will be released as soon as the families of the 72 people you injured or killed can be notified and they have reasonable time to assemble here.”

      1. Most people don’t understand what “outlaw” really means and how serious a sentence it was.

  8. In the case of Darrell Brooks, the most loving family might have helped mitigate his criminal behavior but eliminated it? I doubt it. We have not just tolerated but encouraged and subsidized dysgenic reproduction that has created an enormous population that is incapable of existing within a decent society.

    1. Great word selection…

      dysgenic
      / (dɪsˈdʒɛnɪk) /
      adjective
of, relating to, or contributing to a degeneration or deterioration in the fitness and quality of a race or strain
      of or relating to dysgenics

ALL part of the Ages Old Plan. By Design and Intent.

    2. As I noted above, at most 30% of his behavior is environmental. My new revelation is that he’s about 95% dirtbag, so it probably runs true in his veins. Note Emmitt Till’s father’s final disposition.

  9. What’s the old saying, “give ’em enough rope . . . . . .”

soros and hitlery share the same neighborhood.

  10. I’m right there with you on the “Politics now vs. 2016” meme.
Something struck me when you wrote, “It doesn’t take a village. It takes parents.” I’ve often heard seemingly respectable black adults discussing some poor behavior perpetrated by young black folks, and they say something to the effect of, “When are we as a community going to teach our children (fill in the blank)?” Or, “When we as a people or community (fill in the blank)…”. Maybe I’m reading them wrong, but it seems like they have an entrenched “village” mentality, whereby it’s the responsibility of some nebulous “they” to take action and make positive changes. I never hear white folks use this kind of terminology. Obviously having strong community ties to friends and family is a great thing, and those elements can certainly play a role in the rearing of my child. But ultimately, it’s my role (not grandparents, aunts/uncles, friends, or some community leader’s role) to parent my children and shape them as best I can. We shouldn’t throw our hands up and look for some village to step up to the plate. Hell, there are many in the village I’m trying to keep away from my children!
