The Wilder Response To Mr. Biden

“It’s perfect. We traded one nuked civilization for another.” – Battlestar Galactica.

Bill Murray wasn’t cast as Thor by Marvel®.  They figured that no one likes an electricity Bill.

I had an utterly different post planned.  It was so funny that the laughing that it would induce would have caused your ribs to exit your body.  It was a post so funny, it was dangerous.  Comedy, as they say, is not always pretty.  I try to do those posts on Fridays.  Why?

I had a boss that gave sage advice:  never give your boss bad news on a Friday afternoon or a Monday morning.  I figure that people need a palate cleanser going into the weekend, and try to provide a bit of fun.  And this post that I had planned?  It would have been banned by the Geneva Convention as a Weapon of Mass Hilarity.

Sadly, that post might now be lost to history, since I have to replace it with this one.  Normally, my posts are created weeks in advance and focus tested against a cross-section of laboratory badgers who have no spleens.  Why no spleens?  They tell me that’s important, something about we don’t need no spleenin’ badgers.

But no, the Occupant-in-Chief decided to make the single most irresponsible statement ever made by someone who was sworn in as President since Richard Nixon said, “What’s the worst that they can do to me?”

I don’t want to be accused of taking Biden out of context (not that there’s much of a chance of that) but here’s his quote, to the most accurate degree I can find:

“Those who say the blood of patriots, you know, and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government, if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.”

First, Biden is as articulate as a fourth-grader with fetal alcohol syndrome who’s just smoked a bowl of Hunter Biden’s crack.  And, yes, his Fraudulency has a son who smokes crack with hookers and takes videos of it.  This is a thing that really happens.  Of course, the response from the Left is to say Putin is corrupt.

Sorry.  I’ll try to stick to the topic.

Second, that’s also the same logic as a fourth-grader with an extra chromosome or three who’s just huffed a can of sparkly gold spray paint.  Abraham Lincoln made the obvious response fairly well:

“All the armies of Europe and Asia could not by force take a drink from the Ohio River or make a track on the Blue Ridge in the trial of a thousand years. No, if destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men we will live forever or die by suicide.”

Lincoln was wrong about a lot of things.  He was right about a lot of things, too.  He is correct about this:

“As a nation of free men, we will live forever or die by suicide.”

Joe Biden could have the armies of the united States get him a drink by force from any river in this land.  But Joe Biden and all the armies of the united States couldn’t hold the length of the Missouri or the Mississippi for a single day by force.

The armies of the united States number some 1.3 million men oh, wait people oh, wait, xim/xers.  Add in the Reserves?  Let’s round WAY UP and call it three million.  Total.

There are three million males in Missouri.  I pick Missouri only because they recently decided they’re going to tell the Feds to attempt to compact a very large object into a very small space when it comes to firearm laws.

Go, Missouri.

Not all of the three million males in Missouri would be on the side of freedom, since there are always some disgusting gelatinous slugs of humanity that will side with Evil over Truth.  But there are enough.  And don’t tell me that neighboring states wouldn’t flow in.

No, Mr. Biden.  The only one who needs F-15s and nuclear weapons for control is you, you disgusting pile of fake hair, fake teeth, Alzheimer’s degraded brain, who gets his only Father’s Day card encrusted in cocaine dust and whore DNA.

The united States governs only, let me make this clear, only by consent of the governed.  As citizens, we’re generally pretty good.  But we are horrible, horrible at taking instruction from tyrants.  It’s in our DNA.

No, literally.  This is not an exaggeration.  My family line came across an ocean to tame a continent.  That was their resume.  That was their job description as they rocked back and forth on little wooden boats in the midst of Atlantic storms.  We didn’t come here because we were weak.  We came here to fight and die and bleed and make this land our own.

We came here because we were strong.

We came here because we yearned for freedom.

Mr. Biden, your butt-sniffing and shoe-licking parents and your degenerate sons and personal weaknesses are abhorrent to every fiber of my body.  Mr. Biden, you are disgusting.  Mr. Biden, your forefathers were horrible.  Mr. Biden, you and your weaknesses represent everything wrong with this country, and everything that has led to where we are today.

How dare you threaten me?

  • To threaten me is to threaten Duncan MacWilder of the Clan MacWilder, who came here before this was a country.
  • It is to threaten Hans Wilder, who came here to leave tyrants behind in Europe before World War I.
  • It is to threaten my forefathers who died hewing a civilization out of this continent with their blood and sweat and toil and dead babies so lazy writers like me could exist.

The deal we made in 1776 is the same one we have today, Bucko.  We are here because we have certain inalienable rights.

Mr. Biden, you want to threaten me with jet fighters?  Mr. Biden, you want to threaten to use nuclear weapons against your own citizens?

We didn’t come here for that.  We didn’t die here for that.  We didn’t bury our sons and daughters on dusty plains and hills and hallows across this country, building it with our blood for that.

Reparations?  We paid for that in blood in places you have long forgotten, like Manassas Junction.  Everyone I’ve ever been able to research on any part of my family has been someone who made the united States better.

Every.

Single.

One.

We taught Eisenhower (really).  We built farms.  We built bridges 150 years ago that still exist today.  We built infrastructure that serves tens of millions of people – this is not an exaggeration.  We built railroads across mountains that mountain goats couldn’t cross.  We took trains up those mountains when the snow was 20 feet deep.  With our kids.

Just for fun.

We raised and nurtured children and taught them freedom.

Our blood is in this soil.  Our children are buried here as payment from sea to sea.

My blood is in this soil.  My forefathers weren’t evil.  They were Big Damn Heroes.  Odin and Thor and Jesus would be proud of them for their courage.

Did other people build this land as well?  Sure.  But Wilder blood is spread here from the Mayflower to today.

  • I can do no less than to tell you, Mr. Biden, what Duncan MacWilder would have said:
  • I can do no less than to tell you, Mr. Biden, what Patrick Henry would have said (distant relative, according to an aunt):
  • I can do no less than to tell you, Mr. Biden, what Hans Wilder would have said:

No.

And, to mark the first time I have ever used this word on this blog?  Each and every one of them would have added:

Fuck you, Mr. Biden.

Bring your jets.  Bring your nukes.  The only way you have to dislodge us off this continent we conquered with our blood and sweat and buried kin is to kill us all.  We will never give up.  We will never surrender.  This will not die with me.  Or my children.

You will never defeat us.  Never.  Our blood is here.  Here we make our stand.  We can go to no other country for freedom.  We can go no further to a distant frontier.  Despite what you will try to do with us, despite the injustices you will visit on us, we will win.  We will mock you, and your grave will be pulled up and your bones used by our children for their amusement.

We will smile, and nod.

We did not choose this.  We do not want this.

You spiked the ball too soon.  Maybe two generations into the future, they would go gentle onto that goodnight.

Too soon, Bucko.

Fuck you.

    1. Thank You!!! This one is a KEEPER!! I’m printing it out, framing it and hanging it on my wall!!! 🙏

    1. (Huh. This site does weird things when faced with sentences in brackets…)

      “Stands in slack-jawed amazement”

      “Begins slow clapping”

  1. We mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
Make friends. Plan. Prepare. Train. Resist. Adapt. Overcome. Conquer!

      1. No, but millions of others will and will bless you for taking this stand.

  2. The utter ingratitude, hypocrisy, ludicrous and treasonous behavior portrayed by that hideous, ridiculous, humiliating and nearly brain-dead excuse for a president is enough to turn anyone, even our illustrious host, to the use of the f-bomb. Sometimes no other word will do, and this is one of them. Thank you, John, for expressing what so many of us feel.

    1. Thank you for the recommendation – thoroughly enjoyed that. Fighting back – good man!

    2. I don’t live too far from that school district. I’m really hoping I run into this guy one day so I can shake his hand and offer to buy him a case of his favorite beer.

    3. My YT comments are the written version of this when telling people about the fact that ‘statutes’ apply ONLY to corporations (called ‘persons’) and NOT ‘men’ or ‘women’. We are ONLY subject to Common Law. Don’t believe me? Scour your state’s statutes/codes and see if the term ‘person’ includes the word man or woman. And don’t even get me started on how counties STOLE the titles to PRIVATE land a hundred years ago, put them up as collateral for ‘civic improvement’ loans, then re-classified the land to the words ‘real estate’, because they’d put YOUR property into commerce, and justified charging you ‘property tax’ from that point on.

  3. Wow, JW. This is NOT one of your usual pun-tastic Saturday morning cartoon posts by any means (“Zoinks! Wilder’s finally snapped, Scooby! Hide the Pez!”) I sense real anger here. I like it.

While its laudable to seek out the best in others and remain tolerant of their foibles, I do not believe that there is ‘good in everyone’. Stone evil exists, and is far more widespread than we might like to think. A good many individuals are simply irredeemable and unworthy of any attempt at rehabilitation. Unfortunately for The Narrative, a preponderance of those who skew left on the Bad-Good spectrum hail from the non-White, non-East Asian demographics. Life is cheap among the vibrant.

But pure stone evil surely does fester among Whites, too. And it seems to flow in certain family lines. Bidens, Clintons, Cuomos, Bushes. Rotten apples don’t fall far from rotten trees.

Until very recently I did not believe that it could ever come to open revolt in this country, that ‘normal people’ would ever imperil their comfy lives and 401(k)s by pushing back. I know how much it would take for me to risk losing all that I worked for my whole life, and it’s a lot. But a direct threat to my family, or an economic crash that wipes out all our decades of hard work would do it. And the Biden regime appears to be fomenting exactly these things. That thinly veiled remark about using the military against citizens is truly beyond the pale. I want that mofo and all his ilk to hang.

The gloves must come off. The Marquess of Queensberry is dead and so are his quaint rules. No quarter.

    1. Until they kick off this mortal coil, there is always good in everyone, since life itself is good, as are thought, imagination, and ao forth. The pracrical question becomes: Is there enough good.

“There is good in everyone” is a theological principle informing “why we should always preach Christ crucified, risen, and redeeming to even the most hopeless characters.

How it ended up as a rationale for tolerating predation… Dunno..Add it to the ” run and find out projects, eh?

      1. There is some good in everyone, and a hope of redemption in Christ.
This is why clergy is to be made available immediately before their execution.

  4. 11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

144 Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

  5. Lots of pent up cold fury, close to rage. So, how do you REALLY feel?

  6. Very well said.

The depravity of this drooling moron knows no bounds. On the one hand he holds the lives of foreigners as precious and deserving of every mercy, while on the other he casually threatens his own citizens with nuclear holocaust.

Joe Biden can kiss my a55 after tacos.

  7. There comes a time in many a young boys life when he crosses that line. Dad stops what he’s doing and says “That’s it. I’ve had enough,” and he never has to deal with it again.

    1. exactly, Steve. I have three good, strong, intelligent, and faithful sons – and a daughter – all too happy to agree. And I know they agree because they raise my grandchildren this way. Teach them wisely – and set limits.

      1. As the kids in the gubbermint are about to find out. I’m quite sure they weren’t raised that way.

  8. Facing everything I hear about BOLSHEVICS, I am pretty sure we have no access to a ‘middle-ground’, an ‘across-the-table’ place to peaceably negotiate a truce with them.
    .
I am pretty sure I will encounter an individual, a group of individuals acting as a mob, that one nameless faceless bumblebrat deep in the bowels of TheBureauOfJustifyingOurExistence.
    .
And I am pretty sure I will contemplate commiting a grievous act.
At that point, will I wave ‘goodbye’ to my comfortable existence?
    .
That ‘comfortable’ [shakes head, chuckling] existence I boiled in, frothed in, fumed and burned in.
The ‘feeling belittled and ignored, spat on and betrayed’ comfortable existence.
That comfortable existence made uncomfortable by the acts of inbred incompetent half-wits.
    Praxxxis.
The ‘triple X’ version, not safe for children version.
Not because of any naughtiness or full-frontal, but because those images are not forgettable.
    .
My struggle is knowing I am unable to imagine a ‘co-exist’ with BOLCHEVICS.
Are their ‘peace’ ‘love’ ‘global nation’ bumper-sticker proclamations merely another form of their lies?
Some of us are coming to that conclusion.
    .
    .
I hear eric swalwell threaten me with weapons of war… including nuclear bombs on my farms, my railroads, my trucking terminals, my water-treatment plants.
    My home.
After those impudent blatherings, I wondered:
    * who owns those bombs?
    * who fires the missiles?
    * who has the patience to wait until the rads are liveable to re-humanize my cratered towns and villages?
    .
How much ‘skin in this game’ do the chinese have?
Not nearly enough to survive the Mutual Assured Destruction.
That ‘clean-up on aisle three’ will turn us all back to our hunters-gatherers heritage in a split-sec.
Come to think of it, although we faced occasional bands of ill-tempered saber-tooth tigers, we lived free from the rachel maddows(sp? like I care) and, as the editrix at DiogenesMiddleFinger says, the squinty&meat-puppet crowd.
The more I think about it, that is starting to sound better and better.
    .
Facing everything I hear about the various impersonators of Glorious Leader china joe biden, I am willing to bet we are ‘played’.
The gamers are not in the ‘cast of players’ for us to point at, not the puppets for us to paint big bulls-eyes on their oblivious foreheads.
    .
And I am pretty sure the self-ordained puppet-masters are too laughably inept to understand the inevitable results of their fumblings.
Clue — we are eager to march them to ropes across lampposts.
    .
A better person than me prayed:
    * forgive them, they know not what they do.
    OK, fine… they are forgave.
But, would anybody mind if my fingers were slightly crossed behind my back during that part of the final discussions?

    1. * forgive them, they know not what they do . OK, fine… they are forgave.

Weeeeelllll. You do have the “because they know not what they do” out. Lotta these dewberries know *exactly* what they do, so “praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.”

The sticky wicket is that *other*bit about “…Forgive me my debts / trespasses / wrongdoing as I have forgiven those who have wronged me.”. No outs on that one.

On the bright side, you do not have to feel forgiving to every no-goodnik destroying America, just the ones who actually wronged *you*. And if duty requires some ammunition-passing in their vicinity-? So be it.

  9. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that “Where rights (liberty) secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no legislation which would abrogate (abolish) them.” (Miranda v Arizona) What’s that mean? Well, it means that in order to lawfully effect a Right/Liberty protected by our Constitution (nullify it, limit it, license it or restrict it) the powers that be (state or federal) are required to comply with the Constitution’s Article V Amendment process (amend the Constitution) before they expediently make an end-run around said Constitution. Merely ‘passing laws’, to take away (or “infringe” upon) your Right of self defense protected by the Second Amendment is unConstitutional.

Simply put, “Shall not be infringed” means that if they want to “infringe” by expanding the government’s (restricted) authority to nullify, limit, license or restrict that they don’t have, they must go through the Article V Amendment process in order to ‘acquire’ the lawful authority to legislate limits, licenses or to dictate or nullify your Rights.

Telling you they have the “authority” to by-pass the Constitution by passing some goofy law because ‘they’ voted on it is what’s known as acting under “the color of law.” The color of law is defined as the actions of an ‘official’, be it law enforcement or legislative, purported to be in the conduct of their official duties when, in fact, they have no lawful authority to actually ‘act’ or conduct themselves. An example would be a legislature passing laws effecting areas where they have no lawful authority to legislate. When they have no authority to pass such a law or ordinance (haven’t complied with the the lawful Amendment process) then the Supreme Court stated in Marbury vs Madison that: “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.”

    1. The Constitution and weapon will protect your rights a whole lot better than just the Constitution will. After all, it’s just words on paper. The Left stopped paying any attention to it before we were born.

    2. Oh, I utterly agree. But I don’t think hardly anyone on the Left cares about the Constitution in 2021. It just keeps them from doing what they want. Beware the majority.

  10. John, by far your best ever. I wish I possed the words to give you the laurels you deserve for such a post. Truly I think you have given voice to the very soul of many of us. Thank you for putting words to what my heart has been feeling for some time.

I truly fear for the future of this country and its people. What will we leave behind? I do not know, but it will not be what I was given. Progress has not given us something better.

I’m not sure Joe really believes what he said, but I’m sure a lot of the people behind him do. I think it’s possible he repeated what was a snide remark made in a staff meeting, and Joe being Joe doesn’t know what he should or shouldn’t repeat. That being said.

Anyone in the Government, at any level, do not spend one moment worrying about a governmental change from an attack by a F-15 or a nuke. It will probably take place like they always have. One motivated individual and one firearm. What you should worry about is the number of people you motivate at any given time. 10 might be difficult to prevent, 100 even harder. 1000…. enjoy your life in a basement safe from everything. Imagine 100 uncoordinated motivated people determined to accomplish a Govermental change. Joe not necessarily being the primary target. It boggles the mind, as it would the Secret Service.

Sorry my mind tend to wander

Thank you again John, and I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come.
    IdahoHunter

    1. And I wish the best for you and yours. I thank you for your comments. I am just pleased that the words came to me that night.

      Again, thank you.

  11. You undoubtedly already saw it, John, but just in case: Aesop had a pretty similar take.

A couple of previous commenters referred to people (like us) facing a lack of comforts, 401(k)s, pensions, etc. I don’t disagree with anything that was said. But it seems to me that we may as well reconcile ourselves to these losses, because they’re going to happen no matter what we do. The question is, shall we have some fun while losing them? I say, go for the gusto. The best possible death, as a number of people have said, comes in the middle of a pile of hot brass, surrounded by the corpses of as many enemies as you can account for.

    1. “I went skydiving
      I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu
      And I loved deeper
      And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I’d been denyin’
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'”

    2. Yup. The end is coming, and to choose comfort over freedom . . . freedom for your children . . .

      Oh, my. Well said.

  12. Well done Mr. Wilder. You articulated what millions of the rest of us have been trying to put into words quite succinctly. I would only add BFYTW. I know my ancestors who have fought and died this country since before it’s inception would have expressed that sentiment whole heartedly and I am proud to carry on in their footsteps.

    1. The NRA can give its speakers any gun it wants. They give the American Long Rifle because of symbolism.

  13. With that ending I am shocked you called him Mr.

Bravo and that quote of unknown origin sums it up as well.

    1. My guess is John was communicating his respect for the office by using Mr. I do the same thing.

  14. I don’t like to be threatened; especially by a coward that uses their power to bully. May Biden, and his administration, be forever branded with this act of cowardice, be punished severely for their treason, and patriots have the pleasure of spitting on their graves.

  15. Hey John
I’ll have your back, if I know where it is.
How about exposing the Anonymous POS (6:47 PM) so we know who it is?

  16. My take on the comment of needing F-15s and Nukes wasn’t that they intend to use them to crush those who relay on the 2nd Amendment to insure their freedom, but that is what someone would need to take on the US Military and overthrow the US government and rule the country.

TPTB in DC would rely on Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement and SWAT teams to enforce their laws and deal with anyone who doesn’t comply.

In the case of one or several states saying F-U to the FED GOV…

Well, the Federal forces sent an army and employed artillery to fight the rebels in the secessionist states in the 1860’s, I don’t see why they would have a problem with sending combat troops backed up by APCs and tanks and artillery, with support from helicopters and drones for recon or to take out threats.

The North didn’t have to station troops on every corner in the South, they just had to use a large mass of men, lots of ammo and lots of violence for about 4 years until they destroyed the South’s ability to fight effectively. Then they passed more laws and established Reconstruction to ensure their control was complete against the Southern successionist sttattes.

Anyone who wants to leave and wishes to be left alone better be taking a long hard look at things like logistics and anti-fragile robust systems and figure out a way to employ asymmetrical (4th and 5th gen) warfare that will be more effective than the methods employed by the Southern secessionists back in the 1860’s if they don’t want to get beaten down and be on the receiving end of how the Marxists treat their defeated enemies.

    1. The problem with that plan is that currently, there is no “South” to fight. The country is purple from coast to coast, even NYFS and Califrutopia. (There are more conservatives – and guns – in CA than there are in Texas, FTR. You could look it up.)

Meanwhile, at its smallest size since the 1930s, the US military would be hard-pressed to decisively control so much as the District of Columbia. The insurgency, just in Maryland and Virginia, would run them ragged inside of six months, and then besiege them indefinitely, while the rest of the country burned out the liberal hives with abandon.

In any possible conflict, they will either retire to their compounds, and lock the gates, awaiting the outcome from inside, or they will die in place, unrelieved, unsupported, unmourned, unloved, and unremembered. I suspect there will be a sudden outbreak of conversion to constitutional principles, or generals and admirals eating their guns; probably both. Officers only command the military. NCOs run the military, and they’re not woke, nor ever will be, no matter what the Pentagon thinks. And a corporal with a cocked .45 beats all the general’s stars on your shoulders, every single time.

There are more deer hunters in just PA and MI, than there are combined troops, reserves, and law enforcement of all stripes in the rest of the country, combined.

While the bloodletting would continue for weeks to months, the decision in a civil war here would be decided in about a week, at the outside, and probably more like 3 days.

The media casualty rate would approach 100% too. The ones who didn’t get killed in the conflict, will be cheerfully hunted down afterwards as well. A press ID or media corp employee badge would become a death sentence, in milliseconds.

And unlike with Noriega in Panama, there would be no embassies and no respect of international law, to give TPTB any place to run for sanctuary.

They would be pulled out of any place found, by the hair, and executed where found, either against a wall, or from the nearest tall object, and after a month or so rotting in place, they’d be fed to wild hogs and alligators, and no grave dug nor marked.

Beware the wrath of patient men.

    2. No, you don’t bring it up unless you’re willing to use it. Keep in mind that this is the crowd that was scared of costumed people wandering into the Capitol.

  17. Well stated, succinct, and to the point with a great big exclamation point. I spent 23 years in the military and I never hated an adversary more than the US Government. It’s time to rock.

    1. Sadly, they want to install constitutions around the world, but can’t be bothered to read ours.

  18. There’s a strong chance this brilliant work will end up posted all over town, including the local university.
Maybe even several towns and cities.

    For months to come.

I will have no idea how that might have happened.

  19. Your best ever, and damn I needed this today.

    Clan Graham here.
By your side there I will be.

Direct descendant of Sir John de Graham.
    Proud member of the D.A.R.
    Ne oublie!!!

  20. It looks as if Biden’s words touched a nerve! I don’t get it; if rifles are useless against the might of the United States military why is he so afraid of rifles? After all, he has the F-15s and nuclear warheads…

As did so many others, I took an oath to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I served primarily during the cold war. I never dreamed when I took my oath the threat would be greatest on the domestic front. I am ashamed that we let things get so out of hand. The constitution was written for the common people and is easily understood. It doesn’t require lawyers to interpret it for the rest of us. As you have written about before, almost everything the federal government now does is unconstitutional. The problem is how to get back to federalism and a constitution respecting federal government in a peaceful way. I am not sure it can be done. I pray for a peaceful resolution of our differences and the courage necessary to face the unknown. In the meantime I am working on getting physically fit and preparing in other ways to uphold the oath I swore. I will continue to await good leadership, as do literally millions of others. God help all of us if that leadership arrives. Biden and his ilk are right to be concerned.

  21. The filthy maggot Jew swill own the Democrat party. Slow Joe merely dances to the tune of his owners.

    1. You’re obviously an idiot Mark Matis. Xiden is owned by the Chinese. And the communists are atheists who hate all forms of religion.

    1. Thank you – there were quite a few folks from your place that came on over.

      Again, thank you.

  22. Tyrants never learn, do they.
    1) We know where they work.
    2) We know where they live.
    3) We sure have a lot of “retired” military.
    4) NEVER PISS OFF AN ENGINEER

When the fourth box is opened, it will be bloody.

    1. Piss off an Engineer: That’s what I tell people that are worrying about guns. They had better hope if I go nuts that I chose guns. I know ways to create massive mayhem if I must use another means. Just a simple backhoe can bring all manner of “fun”. Just imagine digging into the sewer mains just outside the processing plant or rooting out a few of the pumping stations ;>)

  23. You should never piss off the majority in any nation.

It really helps if you install someone competent when you have a woke coup.

And yes, y’all had one. Anger is justified. At the twits who let this moron near the levers of power.

  24. Yada Yada Yada. Till significant numbers of commie demonrats start leaking red corpuscles onto the ground this is all just hot air and wishful thinking. The commie left has done quite literally ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they have chosen to do without regard to ethics, morality or law and have done so for DECADES. 8 months ago they committed the Crime Of The Century and GOT AWAY WITH IT. No…..all this huffing and puffing towards them about what’s going to happen is exactly that. And THEY KNOW IT.
Which is why they continue to abuse us and are planning even bigger and more spectacular assaults on our freedoms…..because they know NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THEM.

    1. There was a (fictional) book written years ago called Unintended Consequences by John Ross. It revolved around the fed’s relentless attack on the 2nd Amendment. I had heard the feds gave him trouble after writing it. Not surprising. They were upset because in it he outlined a method of ‘resistance’ against the government which required no formal/organized retaliation against the members of the government but showed that ‘individual’ direct action was quite effective and almost ‘easy’. Essentially ~ choose your target, act and say not a word to anyone and move on to the next target; the government rather quickly gets the hint. I highly recommend this book.

  25. If you think you’ve got to have nukes to win, let me introduce you to a small and very poor and really pretty thoroughly dysfunctional country called Afghanistan. They’ve whipped two superpowers in the past century. They kind of remind me of my people, another mountain people commonly called Hillbillies.

As for us, if we’re Christian, and if we take Just War Theory seriously, then we must exhaust all nonviolent means of solving the conflict before resorting to violence. (I’m not your standard issue gun toting so & so.) Other than the now obviously completely pointless option of lawfare, we have not tried ANY nonviolent means to compelling the elites to stop screwing around with us. They are now threatening the fertility of our children on top of everything else. This morning it is much on my mind how since the 1980s I’ve been trying to talk to people about ways we can nonviolently fight back against those who hate liberty, who hate us, and who want a one-world government (pro tip “capitalist” and “communist” are just “magic” words they’re using to confuse us.”) If anyone here wants to talk about boycotts and strikes and otherwise beginning to nonviolently refuse to cooperate with this globalist garbage, just let me know.

    1. An option is to retire earlier than normal if possible. There are still some taxes due each year, but a lot less than before.

I know it’s just a drop in the ocean and for now they can still print the currency out of thin air, but still…

      1. I think the more important part of your advise to retire is that it will move more talent out of the system. The more competent people exit the system the sooner it will bleed out.

        1. Yeah, I like to do the reverse of what Marx and Engels tell us.

And fortunately they were kind enough in their works to identify key tasks.

“8. Equal obligation of all to work.”

So the antidote is … drop out, except for stuff around the house obviously, things for friends, church, etc.

It’s a two-fer because taxes get minimized as well which interferes with point 2.

“2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.”

I’ll revisit participation when we become America again.

    2. “Just War” theory is pointless since the enemy has already declared war upon us. They have been making war upon us since before we were born.

      Resist or perish.

      1. I’m not saying to not resist. I’m saying we ought to have been resisting a couple or three DECADES ago, but nonviolently. To resist violently before trying all nonviolent options is immoral. There have been NO boycotts of China, let alone Amazon, et al. We’re just barely refraining from using Facebook. How pitiful is that? If we’re not strong enough to get off of Facebook, what makes us think we can win a guerilla war?

        1. Another thing — I’m not a pacifist but I think you could put a lot of them to work — shooting down drones. Wendell Berry is reported to have said that he, aged pacifist that he is, looks forward to one day shooting the damned things out of the skies over his farm.

        2. Nell, I know you mean well but I don’t think you’re seeing the whole picture clearly, because telling us what we haven’t done isn’t nearly as helpful as leading a specific action. Your advice would have been sound if it had been implemented a couple of decades ago but we’re already long past that point. Unfortunately we have to deal with what is, rather than what should have been.

I’ve been boycotting everything you mentioned for years, decades even, but the masses continue buying their crap. Under current market conditions, it would require millions of us working together in unison for a boycott to be successful, because the problematic organizations have become structural parts of the economy in terms of scale and scope. Not all parts of their business models are visible to the public.

      2. You were a victim before you were born? That’s some serious victimization. You might be in line for reparations.

          1. Never again, what? Forcibly being sent to a gas chamber or being required to wear a piece of cloth over your face? They are virtually the same thing you know.

          2. No Libtard, they’re not virtually the same thing at all. But different and non-comparable as they are, they’re still both inherently wrong.

        1. Well, you’re certainly a libtard, but that there is funny, I’ll grant you that much.

No, it’s not about being a victim. It’s about fighting against commies and useful idiots who want to destroy our way of life. The fight has already been going on for more than a century.

          1. That was sarcasm. Sorry you missed it. Beyond wearing a mask (which is a trivial sacrifice for the greater good) what specific freedoms have been taken from you by the commies and useful idiots? One concrete example? Anything? All this talk of insurrection and violence and I have no idea WTF you all are pissed off about.

  26. Excellent post, John.

Reminds me of the famous words of Captain John Parker standing on the grass at Lexington, “Stand your ground; don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

  27. Yeah, what you said! So heres to your rules, regulations, lockdowns, face diapers, vaccines & all the other BS you can conjure up – NO – BFYTW….

  28. Blockade the ports? Gee, the container full of new iphones and tvs will be stopped…

  29. If you want the more skittish commenters to respond to controversial topics, adjust your comment system to accept comments made from TAILS.

    1. I think the 2020 voting and results post and real time comment thread had the most.

A normal M, W, F post? This post may be the high.

      1. It’s a record. I expect it to grow even more. There have been thousands and thousands of visitors and more coming.

        I guess it went viral.

  30. J.W. Serious thanks for writing this. May God richly bless you, and yours, brother.

  31. A suit of armor worn by a warrior, vs a suit and tie worn by a politician. The warrior practices his skills and trade with sweat and blood. A politician puts on his suit, practices his lies with every breath.

  32. 100% with you! Biden and his Marxist cronies are sadly mistaken, but it is their ignorance and hate-fueled hubris that drives them to threaten and belittle the giant that will be their ultimate undoing.

  33. Thank you for recognizing Odin and Thor. I’ll give you a pass on the jew-on-a-stick reference. Hail Odin!

  34. I don’t know why you have to tell him off. All you have to do is IGNORE the uckfers up there. Don’t do one thing they tell you because they are all illegal to be up there.

If anything, you should tell them we are gonna hang you if you don’t get out of there. But even if we don’t we are gonna ignore you the next 4 years depending on irritation level.

  35. I know I’m late to the post, John. But someday, when this shitstorm ends, I’d like to sit and have a drink with you. Oh, and eat some tasty food too!

  36. Yo, Costello,

If you can’t explain it, you don’t understand it. Not a solid foundation for armed rebellion. Aspiring autocrats and their propagandists (wilder) use people like you for cannon fodder.

  37. John, like the verse from “Billy Joel’s”
    Good Morning Saigon,
    (WILL ALL GO DOWN TOGETHER!)
your words are the truth and nothing but the truth, so help us GOD!

  38. One of Your Best Mr. Wilder.
    Thank you.

I’ve often felt this, but you put it into poetry and prose.
    God Bless You.

BTW, your article led me to another great: “When the ship lifts, all bills paid, no regrets.”.
    Another great tearjerker.

I’m a lay speaker for the Methodists each Sunday, and this latter blog inspired me to write a sermon based on your thoughts.
My neighbors & friends need to hear this message, and you deliver like a Deacon.

Destruction for us all is oh so near, but so is Salvation.

As the late so talented Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan belted out to our youth: “Temptation, don’t do it.”
    “Salvation is real!
    Choose Liberty,
    It’s Free.”

    🙂

    1. At second thought, how did I get assigned that angry emoji?…

Plus on re-reading my reply, as CSN&Y wrote:

“You can find the Cost of Liberty, it’s
      -Buried in the ground.”

    2. Please, I’d love to get a copy of the sermon! My email is (gestures) somewhere at the top!

  39. Most excellent! I read this on Independence Day on an evening flight from Albuquerque to Virginia. I have always wondered what Fireworks would look like from the air but was not prepared for the wave of tearful hopefulness that hit me upon realizing the vast majority of fireworks were coming from backyards. Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia – most towns are not providing fireworks shows but good Americans have taken over. That analogy is enough for those of us paying attention.

Been lurking since just before the Civil War weather reports. Very late to the party here because I was backpacking with Scouts for two weeks. Given the escalating pace of change (“unravelling”), I was apprehensive about returning to the world and your blog was first thing I checked. Thanks.
